The lodge is very peaceful, comfortable and well located, if you have a car. We had such a great night's sleep. The king size bed was incredibly comfortable. Great value lodge in Cornwall. It was also very clean. The chocolates were a lovely welcome too.

Loved staying here it felt like home for two nights. The hotel is beautiful and the views are spectacular. We had an evening meal and really enjoyed it. The only disappointment was the breakfast.
This 18th-century former corn mill provides first-class food and board, like a true traditional inn. The Mill House is on Cornwall’s north coast, between Port Isaac and Boscastle

As we visited in December, it was quiet allowing us to meander and enjoy the area without the crowds.
The people we met were all pleasant and friendly and made our visit enjoyable.
I can only imagine, what it must be like for traffic etc in peak season, which I personally would avoid due to the limited access and parking.
Places we ate were The Wellington, the Cobweb and the Riverside.
Of the three we enjoyed the Riverside for quality and value mostly, but we would recommend all for various reasons.
We joined in with the community when they lit the lobsterpot Christmas tree, along with local school children singing and Boscastle Morris team dancing and then back into the pub to warm up.

I stayed for 2 days.
I stayed for 2 days. You could stay 1 day longer, but that would be about it. In theory, you could be able to cover most of the main sites around the town within a day or a day and a half.
The witchcraft museum is definitely worth a visit. I was really surprised and learnt a lot. An odd place for such a museum, but then again, it's as good a place as any.
Make sure you book one of the restaurants. Especially on a Friday or Saturday night, almost no place, including The Riverside where I was staying was accepting walk-ins.

A good location for exploring that part of Cornwall.
A good location for exploring that part of Cornwall. A good selection of hotels and restaurants, we tried all of them during our stay and they were all friendly and welcoming. The car park is close to all the facilities and is charged until 1600 Monday to Sunday.

Pretty place to visit, very interesting.
Pretty place to visit, very interesting. Lovely walks to be had too.
Take a purse full of 20pence pieces as a lot of the harbours residents have had to take on the the upkeep of the toilet facilities, therefore unfortunately having to charge for usage.
Lovely restaurants but ideally need to pre-book as they get very busy! We didn’t go during school holidays and was still booked up. Some really cute shops to buy gifts.

A beautiful seaside town with quaint stores, parking nearby, a gorgeous harbour, fantastic walks nearby. Very close to Tintagel which has a glorious castle in ruins, lovely old church, cliff top walks… a great place to visit.
The location was perfect for us, although we didn't walk down to Boscastle because of the weather, in the summer this would certainly have been possible (although would be a steep walk up!). We drove out to Port Isaac, Rock, Eden Project and Tintagel as well as St Nectan's waterfall. The cottage was clean, comfortable and great for kids and dog. Very relaxing. We liked the scones and clotted cream on arrival and a chew for the dog, a lovely touch!
Our stay was lovely, Roz the owner went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable, always with a smile. This place has everything you expect after spending your day out, comfy bed and a lovely warm shower with a cozy feeling. Worth mentioning, the breakfast 5* hotel service with food made to order, homemade bread and jams and tasty local-sourced food. I'd highly recommend this place and will come back in the future.
A very rural location for anyone coming from a city environment.
The roads get narrow for the larger cars.
Short drive to the main areas like Boscastle and Port Isaac.
Washing machine and dishwasher really handy.
Even has ' his and hers ' electric blankets for the cold nights, which is very old-school cosy.
Overall it's a fab place to rent and stay.
Perfect when you want to get away from the city rush.
The cottage had everything we needed. It was cozy, clean, and exactly as described. The very nice touches made it all the more special — scones and clotted cream, milk in the fridge, and a note explaining everything. I also liked the website and blog offering tons of suggestions for things to do and places to eat in the area. Would stay there again!
Fantastic breakfasts and evening meals, superb location right in the heart of Boscastle, very friendly staff and warm and welcoming atmosphere. Staff went above and beyond to see that I had a good stay, as a solo traveller on a writing break they were happy to set me a table in a quiet corner with access to a wall socket
The location in the village was prefect for us, away for the main harbour, but close the to a local shop and a 10 minute, if steep, walk down to the harbour. Cosy feel to the cottage and very comfortable bed. Great to have the welcome pack on arrival of local goods and a coffee machine.
Lovely view of the Stream and outdoor dining area from the window
Included breakfast was excellent.
Staff service was excellent as well.
The location was excellent. Right in the middle of town and very accessible
Very accessible to the main places to visit in and around Boscastle
The hotel was beautiful, the staff by far the most cordial in my entire month's visit to the UK.
I stayed in the writer Hardy's suite, and it was spacious as well as luxurious. The restaurant was 4 star in our experiences. So good that we ate dinner in both nights.
I highly recommend
Good location for my work at a local business. The decor of the Sloe cottage was excellent and I likes the hanging tapestries and ornaments. The views from the property are great, and I liked the small garden seating area available for residents which had good views.
To start, the location, the cream tea on arrival, Mel and Adam there if needed, the view, the cleanliness of the stay, the peacefulness, the walk to the pub, the taxi back up the hill from Boscastle and the friendliness of the locals.
Wonderfully welcoming hosts, beautifully clean property with very comfy bed. Excellent location for walking the stunning coast path in sections from Boscastle to Port Gaverne. We loved it!
The location on farm just outside of Boscastle provided easy parking. The facilities provided in the Barn superior studio were excellent and very spacious(a one bedroom apartment).
Excellent location, on site parking- essential in Boscastle.
Located in the heart of the town, easy access to town, harbour and walks. Comfortable, clean, everything you need.
Loved our stay! Would highly recommend for folks looking to relax and unwind. The location is close to Boscastle town and we couldn’t recommend giving this place a visit!
Clean, tidy, kitchen well equipped, comfotable, peaceful location, close to coastal path and Boscastle. Extra bonus was games room, especially for a rainy, stormy day!
Great location. Good view from our family room. Shared bathroom/toilet was clean and spotless. Good kitchen and dining area. Friendly and helpful staff.
