The food was good. We had lunch on one day and it was very good with plenty of choice. The breakfast was excellent.

Lovely old pub with character. Warm and cosy room. Great parking facilities - especially for my motorcycle being undercover.

It was very clean, room overlooked the back garden which was well presented just like the rest of the house. Host was really nice, and when asked for things was pleased to supply what I asked for ( pint glass for my bottled beer, hate drinking out of a bottle ). It really does make ALL the difference. The host was clearly house proud but I did not feel like I was in invading her home, I imagine she is well presented in most everything she does, as she works hard ( it shows in the house and garden ) and knows how to do the things she cares about right.
Really liked the fridge in the room, it was so nice to have a cold beer at the end of the day as real ale should NEVER be drunk warm.
I went out and about looking for a place to kayak, so did not spend much time in the room.

Lovely host. Exceptionally clean accommodation.
Lovely host. Exceptionally clean accommodation. Stayed for one night on our way home from visiting family, therefore, no breakfast being provided wasn't a problem. We didn't have an en-suite but the large bathroom, next to our room, was for our sole use. Had a problem with the shower as the water kept going cold but the bath was good, although the whirlpool jets did not work and made an awful noise.
We had to let ourselves in and find our room, which wasn't difficult (via message). It would have been nice to have met the host on our arrival day to ask about the location. Actually met her when we were leaving, when she explained that there was a lovely countryside walk at the side of the house, access via side gate.
