The Cow Shed at Quex Park Estate, hotel in Birchington

Offering a garden and garden view, The Cow Shed at Quex Park Estate is set in Birchington, 24 km from Canterbury Cathedral and 24 km from Deal Castle.

Such a unique property and location but perfect for a little family get a away. We were visiting family locally and rather than all being stuck in one hotel room with no facilities we found this and it was Perfect! The kitchen was amazingly stocked with everything you could need! Which with a baby was such a relief! Little touches like washing up liquid and sponges and liquid hand soap just added that extra ease on not having to pack that as well as everything else needed for a baby when travelling. it was immaculate condition both the decor and general cleanliness. Honestly couldn’t rate this enough and definitely coming back with the family in the summer months :)

I was visiting family and friends but there is plenty to do if it is purely a holiday. Public transport is good to all areas. Broadstairs is nearby and has many eating places, Minnie Bay in Birchington has seafront restaurant and bar. There is shopping at Westwood Cross, numerous takeaway options with delivery, best fish and chips at Fishbone Grill just as you come into Birchington. There are many beaches around the coast but do check which ones have doggie restrictions from May . RAF museum is worth a visit as is the spitfire museum. Eating places there too.

Such a beautiful place, plenty to do, loads of beautiful beaches, places of interest to see. We went everywhere by bus, we brought a day rider ticket for £4.50 and that allowed us to travel all day. We had a fabulous time.

20th Century B&B is a labour of love for the owners who have renovated this modernist Art Deco house and created a unique place to stay with stylish themed rooms. The host Kat was very friendly and helpful and provided a very good full breakfast which I had on the balcony of my room. Perfect place to stay if travelling on your own and you don't want to stay in a bland chain hotel. Parking is free on street outside the property.

Comfortable and clean mobile home, no cigarette or animal smells. Set your expectations right and will not be disappointed (i.e. it is a mobile home, not a 5* spa hotel) neighbourhood was quiet after 10PM - fairly rare at such caravan parks. small swimming pool at holday park (had to book and pay for 1h slots ..) plenty of nice places to visit within 30min car drive.
