The hosts behaviour was very unnecessarily,unfriendly, have never experienced this with any rentals in all my years.

Hotel was very good. Location ideal for walks and local pub. Staff brilliant and breakfast was of a good standard.
Set 1.2 km from Ermington and 3 km from Ivybridge, Thornham Cottage offers a garden and free WiFi. Tavistock is 38 km away. Guests at the bed and breakfast can enjoy a Full English/Irish breakfast.

Beautiful room with lots of lovely touches. We visited over Easter and Liz left us little Easter Eggs in the room. There was wine in the mini fridge and some crisps to snack on...as well as coffee, tea, milk etc. The garden is secure and our two dogs loved it. It was just a short walk from town.
We would love to stay again.
Highly recommend.
In Hope Cove fishing village, the Hope and Anchor Inn boasts excellent sea views and fresh seafood. It has a bar and restaurant, and is opposite the beach.

We made the mistake of heading to Bigbury using the postcode...
We made the mistake of heading to Bigbury using the postcode which I assume is for the whole area. This cottage is actually in Challaborough which meant more lanes to negotiate after a very long drive to get round the hill separating the two. I preferred Challaborough to Bigbury so all ended well!l My review is for Challaborough, and not Bigbury.
