Convenient location, car park outside. Good value dining as well. Single rooms available which is not usually the case in a lot of hotels.
Fascinating medieval hall so love the history associated with the property. However this does mean the hotel feels a bit like a rabbit warren.

Staff were excellent and friendly. Sophia, the landlord, made me feel very welcome and I would happily stay there again. Any issues were sorted out as soon as possible. The atmosphere in the pub was great too.

Room was very good size, but considering so big we cldnt understand why no superking bed. Lighting in the room needs sorting, only one bedside lamp and 2 out of 3 ceiling lightbulbs not working. Otherwise it was a v pleasant room. Staff were great.

Background music in the bar was intrusive in our bedroom and disturbing. Given the restaurant and bar were quite busy I doubt anyone down there realised it was on. Perhaps consider not having it on?
For the second time in a week at a Buttcombe Inn there was an error with our bill.

A gem of a boutique hotel.
A gem of a boutique hotel. It attracted us because it took dogs and served fresh fish. This Inn pressed all the right buttons and was well located for Tewkesbury, Broadway in the Cotswolds & the local village. As a consequence of our stay we will be using other Butcombe Inns in the near future, and if we get the right price we will stop at the Beckford Inn again when we next travel from Yorkshire to Bridport
