Prior to our stay we sent over some enquiries and received very prompt and friendly replies with helpful information (follow Ray & Anne's advice about satnav directions).
The cottage is set in a tranquil location, easy to find, with parking on site. We were greeted by Ray who showed us where we would have breakfast the following day, and then to our room which overlooked woodland from the side window and the wooded bank and treehouses to the rear, with bird feeder hung over the Juliet balcony.
We were going out again to meet family, and were given the front door key for access later that evening.
The room was comfortable, clean, and peaceful, with great facilities including a kettle, large mugs, cafetiere and fresh coffee, plus instant coffee, a variety of tea, and biscuits, plus fresh milk in the fridge on the landing. The mattress and pillows were comfortable, though the bed was a little creaky : /
In the cosy breakfast room there was a lovely woodburner. Ray provided a superb breakfast, absolutely delicious, with more than we could eat which set us up for the day ahead.
We would highly recommend Kingsley Cottage, a wonderful place to stay.

We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area. The standard double room was spacious, clean and had plenty of storage. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom a good size with a powerful shower . Decent Full English breakfast. Staff friendly. Enjoyed the band - Wreckords - who were playing on Bank Holiday Saturday evening - the pub had given us a courtesy call to advise there was music - which was good of them. This was a traditional pub in a quiet village. You need a car as it is interesting to explore the rural villages which are off the beaten track, but you are also within 1/2 an hour's drive from the coast or Dartmoor National Park.

A magical and calm oasis not that easy to find-Beaworthy...
A magical and calm oasis not that easy to find-Beaworthy covers a big area, more like Black Torrington but so worth it!. we self catered because my wife had injured her ankle and this was an ideal place to recuperate. Plenty to do if you are you are up for more activity. Kids seemed very happy with the outdoors including a shallow lake and so much to run about in . With resident family very friendly the quirky "Reforge" bar with a mediterranean like atmosphere. It is near Okehampton and Bude if you want to explore more .

all what you expect with village life, country side around Devon is beautiful. Cyclists haven, walkers would love the areas around Beaworthy and torrington. Loads to to do and see, remember though it is country life and peaceful, you really need to love the peace and quiet to appreciate it.
