Quiet room, location great for visiting friends and family, near the motorway. Aldi and Tesco are close enough for snacks, or splash out by eating in the attached restaurant. Love the late 11am check out time. Cleaning lady is always very friendly and helpful.

Ideal location, over the road from where we planned to spend the weekend so couldn’t get any better there. Breakfast was excellent, couldn’t fault the facilities at all, the rooms could possibly have done with a fridge if you were staying longer than I was but not really anything to complain about as I was hardly there

No breakfast availability, although food was very nice in the restaurant in the evening.
Not as clean as I had hoped - some stains on furniture where liquid had been spilt, windows and frames very dirty.
The furniture was old and some needed repairing (e.g. no handles on some of the drawers).
Bed too soft and very flat lumpy lumpy pillows.

I arrived at the Lodge at 8pm after a long tiring day, I had a nice warm shower, watch Tv for about an hour and went to sleep, in the morning it was another rush back to work. I had a good night sleep and my bedroom was warm enough. The room was clean with clean fresh bedding. Thank you very much 😀

I wouldn’t stay at The Lodge in Barnby Dun ever again, we booked this because it was closest to the racecourse but were bitterly disappointed with the accommodation. It was very dated and quite run down. Stained sheets, cracks in the walls, dents and holes in walls, foist smelling and grubby waste bin, broken and mouldy blinds up at the windows, old and ragged furniture, mould on mattress which seeped through to bed linen, dirty laundry piled up along the corridor so had to squeeze past to get in and out of room. To be honest I wanted to sleep in the car.
