It’s beautiful! Especially the gardens. Lovely location. Excellent breakfast. We’ve stayed a couple of times and already looking at our next visit.

Peak Edge Hotel, hotel in Ashover

On the edge of The Peak District, this modern, boutique hotel boasts stylish rooms with LED TVs and countryside views.

What an amazing hotel and the best staff ever. We were greeted at the reception with smiling faces and told if we needed anything just to ring reception. The room was fabulous and HUGE! The food was out of this world and I’ve already booked my next stay at this truly wonderful hotel. Everyone that works there makes this hotel shine and could teach many in hospitality how the job should be done. I can’t wait too come back.

Dating back to the 18th century, the Grouse and Claret is situated in Rowsley, on the A6 between Matlock and Bakewell.

Good location in between Matlock and Bakewell. Also next to the Peak shopping village. Pub is very close to the starting point for the Rowsley circular walk. The breakfast was good.

Very quaint, pretty English village, with some very old buildings. A local feel to the place - everyone seems to know each other. Not great if you like shopping - or if you forget something from the supermarket as there's only one shop. Three good pubs, nice food.

A lovely location the cabin was second to none.

A lovely location the cabin was second to none. Very comfortable and spotless, everything you could possibly want, The patio outside was lovely to look at the birds of which there were many. They had ensuite in both room, one with a shower and the other a bath. So did not want to leave

Ashover is ideally located for visits to Eyam plague village, Hardwick Hall and several industrial heritage sites. I can recommend the Gate Inn for evening meals, but there are several more local eateries recommended by the owners of the B&B we stayed in.
