Harbour Inn, hotel in Amble

Situated in Amble, Harbour Inn offers accommodation with free WiFi and TV, as well as a restaurant and a bar.

The Harbour Inn is in a great location, straight across from the harbour, with its little cafes, restaurants and shop pods. It has a busy restaurant serving a wide range of dishes. Also a small beer garden. It’s clean, welcoming, friendly. We booked the largest room with harbour/sea view and it was excellent. No private parking but on street parking was plentiful (mid September) and free.

Amble is a nice village with some nice cafés and bar/pubs. The harbour is a nice area to visit with some lovely little hut shops and food and drink establshments It's a great place if the weather is fine but not too much to do if its raining. It has a small beach but it isnt dog friendly during peak season in Amble, other beach's on that coast are especially bamburgh and its stunning at early evening when the castle is all lit up. Its worth the travel up to the beach there while you are in the area. There are, also many other local places to visit too. The sculpture trail is a nice thing to do. Warkworth is nearby and has a castle to visit and public houses and couple of shops if you want to use the beach there make sure you go at low tide.

Was cold for July but we enjoyed it.

Was cold for July but we enjoyed it. Hotel was a bit far out and absolutley no taxi service on a Sunday evening. One firm did offer to come from Alnwick for a £15 extra charge! Lovely quaint fishing village with antique shops and pubs .

Amble is a lovely town with lots of amenities and walks within easy reach. Many of the cafes and pubs are dog friendly too. The town is flat so easy to get around and there is plenty of parking - even on a bank holiday weekend.

Snall Town with plenty of pubs and eateries not far from druridge Bay lots of walks along coastal paths to various places, short drives to Warkworth Castle, Morpeth or Alnwick. We were there bank holiday weekend and there was a Sunday Market and a Carboot sale Monday in the Harbour. Lovely play park with Seaview, lovely bay with families on the beach and using paddleboards,no dogs allowed.

Relaxing with great cycle rides in the countryside and up and down the coast. Lovely beaches nearby. Bewick's and The Fish Shack were great places to eat. We didn't get a chance to try elsewhere. Spirelli's Ice Cream was the best that I have had in a long time! The Running Fox Bakery in Shilbottle was a lovely stop for lunch, or a scone, if you travel inland. If you go up to Alnwick be aware that the traffic is awful and parking can be difficult - we went by bus. Next time we will stay longer.

Amble has good shops and cafes and restaurants.

Amble has good shops and cafes and restaurants. There is a fish n chip place called the Fish Shack, which was enjoyable looking out over the quayside. People are friendly and welcoming especially to dogs. There were a few charity shops and a nice co op. the boat trip was fun to see the puffins, cost £20 for an hour but quite exciting. Would recommend a trip to the Hauxley Nature reserve five minutes down the coast, it was beautiful and we saw a lot of birds and enjoyed the restaurant there, such friendly people too. The Warkworth Castle, nearby, was wonderful and the village was very picturesque with a nice church.
