The kindness of the owners, the delicious breakfast homemade, the attitude of the owners who appeared to really enjoy to have guests (this is clearly a choice of life for them and not a pure business). In addition very convenient to reach Utah beach (8 Minutes by car).
We will come back one day

Beds and rooms are spacious and lovely. A real French farmhouse feel (I think it's a working farm). Totally quiet and we slept brilliantly well here with the windows open.
If you want a quiet spot with plenty of space and a back garden and a real French feel you can't go wrong here. Best night sleep I've had! I'd go back here!!

Great location in the center, 5 minute walk from the train station, next to bakeries, a grocery store and a bike rental store.
Cozy room and the landlady was very nice!
Close to the D-Day beaches and Calvados, a region with a rich historical heritage and beautiful scenery, the hotel welcomes you in peaceful and green surroundings.
This town is full of history. Much was closed during the first of January. We would plan to spend a day in and out of restaurants etc. along with travelling to the museum at Utah Beach. Maybe get a bite before the museum and a larger meal on the way out. (With restaurants closed, really not much reason to dally).

An area steeped in history.
An area steeped in history. So much to see and do - The Utah Beach Museum, The D-Day Experience, The D Day Beaches.
There are plenty of places to stay but I can highly recommend Le Grand Hard located very near to the above museums.
Getting around is very difficult. If you don't have a car I would recommend you speak to your hotel and try to arrange transport with them as taxis, uber, bla bla cars, mons transport, get transport are all a waste of time.
Trains from Carentan are very easy to use and reasonably priced.

The location is excellent for exploring the surrounding area. Our dinner was excellent using local produce and serving excellent ciders, we didn't expect such a high standard for a small hotel. The room was lovely and of a very good standard with nice artistic touches and thoughtful extras. A home from home. Breakfast was excellent with a very good range of choices. Will certainly come and stay again. All round a great experience and lovely hotel.
A gem of a hotel tucked away in gorgeous rural spot and 5 mins from Utah beach. Spacious room with our own front door and patio. Enjoyed a fabulous dinner (Utah beef) in the restaurant, nowhere else to eat in walking distance and an apéritif in their salon which was well equipped with games and calvados! Good breakfast, eggs cooked to order if wanted.
Location was ideal for visiting the more western Invasion Beaches. The hotel was delightful; very quiet, beautifully appointed and very efficient, friendly and helpful staff. The food was superb - breakfasts offered a wide choice of very good quality ingredients and dinners were some of the best we have eaten anywhere.
Beautiful hotel in a very pretty setting.
Close to everything if you are visiting the D-Day Beaches
The hotel has been in the family for 5 generations and the care and attention for everything is very noticable.
The restaurant was excellent
Would highly recommend
The grounds and hotel were beautiful! Very well maintained and clean. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant onsite is delicious, make sure you book dinner and breakfast! Loved being in the countryside and wished we had more days to spend here!
The Grand Hard is a nice family-run hotel close to Utah Beach. I like to stay there when en route to Cherbourg to take a ferry. The place is relaxing and peaceful and the furnishings are very nice. It's just a nice place to stay.
The owner of the place is an amazing person who bakes the most wonderful bread. The place is perfect if you are aiming for Utah or Saint-mere-Eglise.
The breakfast was nice and the hotel is located in a very cozy old building.
Everything, I will repeat the area just to be in the hotel again. The personnel at the both hotel and restaurant, the surroundings, nature, exquisite touch, incredible!!!! Do not think twice and stay here!
Very peaceful and charming hotel. Extremely clean and comfortable room. Great location close to all the major sights. Friendly staff and the food at the restaurant was great!
