Rudelle was handed over to us by Christophe. It was the only time we saw Christophe and tried to find him to thank him when we left but he was presumably busy with the grape harvest.
The house was immaculately clean and had everything you could possibly need. There were so many extra little touches including a lovely welcome pack (the wine from the vineyard was delicious).
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the middle of the vineyards. Unfortunately we couldn't control the occasional rain showers although we were able to enjoy the sun at other times sitting out in the garden watching the sun go down several evenings and eating outside was lovely. There honestly wasn't anything we didn't like.
We highly recommend booking Rudelle. We will always remember our stay there!

The location is stunning and the property lovely with 270 degree views. Our host Charmaine left a welcome basket for us which was very thoughtful and gratefully received. It is so peaceful, we had booked for 3 nights and were lucky we could stay an extra night. Locally there are some gorgeous villages and vineyards to explore. A little piece of heaven.

Gorgeous one bed gite in an old stone farmhouse in the middle of beautiful countryside.
Émilie the owner was very friendly and helpful, the gite was very comfortable and had lovely places to sit outside and admire the stunning views. We found it incredibly peaceful and relaxing.
The most lovely part of it was a sweet goat who was so friendly and followed us everywhere and lay down for a sleep in the garden with us. Émilie also had ponies, chickens, a cat and very friendly dog so if like us, you love animals, you will love it here.

Having a hire car is essential as La Rocheraie is situated in a hamlet. Eymet (Bastide town 5k) is essential for a visit due to the day and night markets and the variety of places to eat and drink with superb cuisine and competitive prices. This is a must just to visit the main square. If you are into medieval towns Monpazier is also a must being one of the oldest Bastide towns. The area around Sainte-Eulalie-d'Eymet is outstanding. If you are looking for a small and family run French restaurant we can recommend En Toute Simplicite in Loubes Bernac very reasonable set course menu.
