St Girod is a small village but central to doing day trips around the lake. A beautiful medieval village called Chanaz at the top of the lake is a place you must visit and a panoramic view of the entire lake at Belvédère is magnificent. At the bottom of the lake Is a lovely beach area where you can swim and picnic. Highly recommend dinner in st Felix at the Dolce Vita. Fabulous freshly made pizza and other dishes.
