Our host was lovely and very helpful, speaks excellent English. We had a very comfortable overnight stay and an excellent breakfast. Our room was spacious and well equipped. It is a beautiful old house tastefully decorated and furnished.
As we were travelling out of season and on a Monday the local restaurant was closed so we had to travel to the next village for our evening meal. It wasn't a problem but you may be advised to book a restaurant in advance.

My partner and I spent two days and two nights at the “Auberge des Ruines de Merle” and this will certainly not be our last visit here!
It is ran by a wonderful couple who were both accommodating and very good fun. The rooms were homely and clean with a charming view of the church in front of the auberge.
There are no words that describe the food we had during our stay, in fact, I would even go as far as saying the food we had were some of the best food I’ve even eaten.
I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough.
We can’t wait to come back again soon!
