We found little positive in our stay. The breakfast was fine. However, it was stated on the booking form that it was 8.50 euros per person but we were charged 9 euros per person plus tax, coming to 11 euros per person. It wasn’t worth that.

Owners very lovely and friendly. The location was perfect for the visits we wanted to make. The owners recommended we visit the chateau in the village and it was a mesmerising moment.

The reason for the poor rating is that although you accepted the booking they were away and we were not admitted. We had to find an alternative in the dark, with a large van, and in a totally unknown area.
A former farm house turned into a holiday home, Gite Des Etangs offers self-catering cottages, a garden, a terrace, table tennis, and free bikes are available on site.

Beautiful situation adjacent to the fine chateau of Le Claveau; we enjoyed the walks around the nearby lakes and the astonishing birdsong morning and evening. The host Colette was most welcoming and generous, and we would would return in spring. It is an excellent centre to explore the northern Brenne region with ready access to the bird watching places and heritage sites.

Rosnay is a small town, Rianvert where the hotel is situated is a cross roads and a farm that has the hotel and restaurant. It is rural, it is stunningly beautiful, very relaxing. Lots of walks nearby and wildlife. The restaurant is really good, simply cooked local food, good wine and friendly staff (I speak very little French but was welcomed and we managed to communicate).
