Spacious and very well equipped apartment in an old house undergoing renovation. The equipment in the apartment looked as though it was brand new and there were thoughtful touches throughout. After leaving, the owner kindly phoned me to say that I had forgotten my tablet in the hallway - fortunately we had not gone far! Although situated on the road through the village, the apartment was well soundproofed. Parking was either in the small square outside or, if full, in the adjacent church car park where there was plenty of space. There was a supermarket 2 km away.
Au Faisan Doré is located in Neuville-sur-Ain, just 16 km from Amberieux-en-Bugey and 25 km from Bourg-en-Bresse. It offers a seasonal outdoor swimming pool and table tennis facilities.
we wanted a family room (4 people) to rest during our trip from Germany to Spain: this Hotel is well located and offers good comfortable rooms. Warm reception. Safe garage place available. Possibility to have breakfast (we filled our Therm-bottle with coffee because we left 06:30am) backery is close by: perfect to buy bread for a later pause when re-starting the travel)
We rented a family room in this hotel which is run by friendly and welcoming staff. Interesting (retro) design features. The hotel is in a village with a beautiful river but has direct access to the motorway in case you need a stopover. Beautiful landscape and surrounds.
Very useful stopover hotel enroute to channel crossing. Only issue was that we requested a family room of a double plus 2 twin beds. The hotel emailed to say would we accept 2 doubles which was fine with us.
We stopped at this hotel on our way to Geneva so we didn't explore the area much but it did have places to eat nearby. We slepped very comfortably, the pillows were very soft and the hotel was very cosy.
Hotel des Allies is very conveniently located and easy to find with secure garage parking. The room was very comfortable. Breakfast was good. Staff were very friendly.
suite was excellent, breakfast excellent, host better than excellent.. only issue was bed size since I'm 6'6" and my son is 6'8" but that's hardly the hotel's fault
