The pool is the main reason I booked and it’s a lovely size and clean with plenty of seating for guests staying in the 3 rooms. There’s a covered area at the back with a fridge/freezer containing various drinks and ice creams which you can purchase. Also a microwave/oven if you want to heat up food and there’s plates, cutlery glasses. The breakfast has lots of choice of fruit, bread, cereals, spreads etc. You can walk along the canal into La Rochelle in 45-60 minutes or go by bus. Valérie, Guilleme and their lovely Labrador Hulbert (hopefully I’ve spelled the names correctly) are very welcoming, helpful and friendly.
Première Classe La Rochelle Centre - Les Minimes is located 500 metres from the Vieux Port and 2 km from Minimes Beach. It offers free Wi-Fi access, a 24-hour reception and private parking at a fee.
Maisons du Monde Hôtel & Suites - La Rochelle Vieux Port is located in La Rochelle on the harbour. It offers free WiFi throughout the entire hotel.

My parents stayed in a suite here with a beautiful view. The staff were exceptional throughout, polite, caring and attentive. The suite was lovely. My parents reported that the breakfasts were excellent also.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. It is modern, clean and comfortable and we would happily stay there again. The staff are brilliant, really helpful and easy to deal with. The on-site car park is very handy. About 5 minutes walk into the Old Port centre. Easily a 5 star hotel.

We booked a double ensuite room for one night. Room and shower room both good standard and comfortable.
We were surprised that the hotel restaurant does not open at the weekend. But the member of staff on duty was very helpful and set up a table in the bar for us to eat a 'picnic' of bread/cheese/fruit. We were grateful for his kindness.
Good location for travellers as hotel is near to the main route west.
Easy parking. Clean. This is a simple but functional hotel, with a nice breakfast and reception area. Friendly staff. But definitely no thrills. Well located half way between La Rochelle and the pleasant beaches to the south.
