La Villa Claudia location is excellent, close to the Canal du Midi, accessible by bicycle via lanes through vineyards. The host was very welcoming and extremely helpful. The room was clean, modern with access to a kitchen area. Importantly the shower was warm. The breakfast provided was superb. This location would suit cyclists travelling along the Canal, which is only approx 4 klm from Herminis Lock. Pennautier is charming with an historic chateau and winery / restaurant.

I genuinely fell in love with the villa as soon as I arrived, i had only booked one night but immidiately decided to stay for two after seeing how incredible it was !
The host was honestly one of the most generous, kind and helpful people i have ever met and went above and beyond to ensure my stay was perfect.
If you are looking for a spoltless, idyllic and homely villa where you can fully relax and recharge ... look no further !
The villa is equipped with a sonos sound system throughout and a coloured lighting system that you can control from the phone in the living room, creating a truly immersive experience !
Also the hot tub is the best i have ever used and very clean 😀
The outside area is perfect for relaxing and BBQ's !
There are so many things to do in the area and is only 15 mins by car to carcassonne !
I will be returning very soon to my dream villa 😀

Beatiful hotel with perfect location.
Rooms were modern and clean, beatiful view overlooking the castle, beatiful bar. I also appriciated Nespresso in the room and water station in the coridor.
It ticks all the boxes: modern, great location, great staff, sustainable.
The blond lady at the reception was very very nice. Staff were excellent !

Pennautier is a beautiful town. Very quiet, but many beautiful things to see. The Boulangerie just down the road from La Beytina makes the BEST caramel muffins I have ever had. I also recommend the quiche – YUM. We were so excited to stumble across a food truck in town serving New Zealand and Pacific Islander food! I recommend the fish and chips and Honey Soy Chicken. As we were in town for a wedding, we didn't spend much time sight seeing in Pennautier or Carcassonne. Next time we return, we will definitely stay at La Beytina, so we can tour the area a bit more.
