What a great stay in this jewel of a small hotel with so much character! Rooms originally decorated according to old professions and soooo comfortable at the same time! Having a small terrace was great and the peaceful yard was perfect to enjoy a glass of great wine from the cellar in the evening. The best and easiest parking I ever had and formidable food with breakfast and dinner completed the experience we will repeat soon! The location is great to find peace and quiet and at the same time it is easy to reach many interesting destinations without too much driving. Shower with perfect pressure and temperature and everything in the main house and garden also is decorated so prettily with a great taste and love of details. Sure we will be back, fell in love with the place!

This was our 2nd short sejour in this amazing hotel and in this fantastic little medieval village. You must come to Noyers if you have never been and indeed return if you have been before. We liked the rural peace & quiet and the historical feel of the hotel. The hotel has 'reception room' areas in which to laze around in, and unknown to us first time around it had a games room complete with a fine pool table and table football, would be ideal for a group of friends. Breakfast would have been extra so we opted to get breakfast ourselves from the local Boulangerie. We had a fine meal at the Veille Tour restaurant, in fact we had a couple of drinks there as well late afternoon, sitting outside listening to jazz music, it was fabulous. You must book it for a meal though to be sure of availability!
Set in a planted park, L'Ecrin du Serein dates from 1872 and is located in Sainte Vertu, in the heart of the Burgundy region.

Incredible building, very special.
.
Spacious room that might be described as a "PERIOD REPLICA". or most likely is ORIGINAL.
.
LUXURY plus bathroom.
.
Wonderful welcome by the host.
Very helpful in finding a late booking for a restaurant
.
The further negative comments did not detract from what we liked.

We were greeted with a glass of local wine by the vivacious Marie-Noelle.
Our room was great, a very comfortable bed and a nice ensuite. Beautiful gardens and a pool. Breakfast was delicious, with a good variety. We were only
5 minutes walk to the beautiful Medieval village and its restaurants. Highly recommend this as a base to explore the surrounding area.

The host, Christophe, welcomed us warmly, a very pleasant conversationalist, helpful in everything, polite, built a special place, with a lot of investment, beliefs, pictures, statues, cute cats, very talented, we sat and talked over a glass of wine, helped me fix a problem with the car. Enjoyed the breakfast, slept well, the place is big and spacious, view is very good. We would love to come back

This hotel is truly unique, it has interesting caves that are set up for various options , breakfast wine tasting etc . Throughout the building the quality and workmanship of the restoration is 1st class. Foremost
The entire staff are so attentive and helpful it was really a pleasure. Last but not least the dinner and service, Wine, desert was top drawer. And your in the middle of a great wine region Chablis is 20+ minute drive. We hope to return
This is an old quaint and quirky auberge with vaulted cellars, a wooden gallery and stone flagged floors. The place could be just out of the Three Musketeers. Our room was an old cattle byre, but extremely well decorated and furnished with excellent facilities. We ate in nearby historic Noyers as the hotel's restaurant was not open which was idyllic. The village itself is quiet but 2 mins off the Autoroute which you cannot hear.
This is a really good and quirky hotel. The rooms are very comfortable. The lace and art in the room we had was unusual and made it different from the normal hum drum hotel rooms that you get in modern corporate hotels. The life size models of animals in the court yards were also fun. We had dinner on the evening which was excellent as was breakfast the following morning.
Hard to believe this hotel is so close to the motorway it’s such a quiet village, the hotel is really old style but everything works perfect and very comfortable, staff traditionally dressed and charming but most importantly very organised, food in the evening so good and breakfast a treat, price ways it’s no different than the more modern hotels with no class
The Hotel is set in an old building and all features are old looking what is very charming specialy because everything was new and perfectly working. The room was very clean and practical. The location close to the motorway is very convenient specially because it was very quiet at night and they have a looked carpark.
I stayed here 2 weeks ago and wrote a review on how good this hotel is, so on my return journey I stayed again and the same result, the hotel is superb and the restaurant top class
