A quiet hotel on the edge of town, great for us as a transit stop. The restaurant food was a bit limited, but excellent. The room was absolutely fine, and the staff were friendly. We arrived early enough for me to head off to the beach at Plage des Conches for a quick dip!

The venue is stunning. Beautiful building, swimming pool and private forest land all around. Lovely breakfast and possibility to dine at the Manoir, simple cooking but very tasty. The owners, their family and staff are nice, polite and helpful. The attic room in the main building was large enough and confortable, very well decorated and felt like home. A fantastic retreat in the Vandee region, not too far from the ocean and many other attractions. Overall, we've had a wonderful stay.

The one restaurant inthe village was not very welcoming and could not give us dinner at 8.30 p.m. immediately after we arrived, despite having only eight customers. We drove 5 miles to Luçon and there was a good restaurant in the main square just beside the cathedral
