Very welcoming and helpful receptionist; the room was very comfortable and breakfast was available very early in the morning (important for travelling a long distance in daylight).
Located a 10-minute drive from the city centre and a 15-minute drive from the beach, this Première Classe hotel offers low-cost guest rooms with air conditioning and a TV.

unacceptable treatment
I will file a complaint about how he treats customers
Mondeville is a charming little city situated in a modern suburban area and not far from Caen, where you can enjoy the amazing historical heritage of the area.

Great value. Rooms clean and modern. Shower superb.
This 4-star hotel is set in a former priory, located in the centre of Caen. It features a spa with a Finnish sauna, a hammam and there is a gourmet restaurant.
Situated in Caen’s city centre, the Best Western Plus Le Moderne is a non-smoking hotel and is just 1.5 km from the train station and 6 km from Carpiquet Airport.
Very basic and dated. Noisy traffic all during night....and noisy neighbours (poos soundproofing)
Breakfast was paid for - so included in payment, we had to away early.
Even though breakfast was ready, simply asked to skip food and take a coffee with us, they insisted an extra payment needed.(even though didn’t have breakfast we’d paid for !)

We thought the hotel was very easy to use, price good and rooms fine for our late stop. Check out time was ideal to get family with three rooms organised and back on the road. Very pleasant and helpful receptionist. Breakfast available although we did not partake.

From what we could see this is really a large sprawlling suburb of industrial and retail parks without a soul and it reflects nothing of the city of Caen. However, for a quick stopover it is useful, particularly for those of us making an onward trip to Cherbourg or even to the Normandy beaches. You would absolutely need a car staying in this district. There are plenty of restaurants in a nearby retail part though you would need a satnav to find them thanks to the motorways and on/off ramps.

I needed to leave the accomodation day before and no one was available in the reception which was completely closed. I kept on trying to call the provided telephone no but no one picked it up. I had a problem to order a taxi there, my foreign number wasn’t working so I was running around with heavy suitcase trying to find anyone to help (that help should be provided by reception). I’m very dissapointed.
The hotel was close to many restaurants, stores, and a gas station, making it a convenient location for an overnight stay. The staff was really friendly and spoke very good English to help us out. There was a small continental breakfast available, which was helpful because we were there on a holiday, and most things were not open early.
You get what you pay for..Its adequate for a short stay..not a Holiday place... Plenty of facilities nearby such as shopping & Restuarants, all within easy walking distance....Premiere Classe Hotels are, what they are..they allow you a reasonable night or two at a reasonable price
The hotel is a bit old, we like to say retro, but functional and clean! The location was great, surrounded by restaurants, shopping etc… The staff were super nice and helpful! They have a vending machine for snacks and offer a light breakfast in the morning, which was helpful.
Great location, I would think, being next to great big shopping centre, and a super... nay hypermarket (Carrefour), it was closed when I was there though. It's what it says on the tin, budget hotel with cute little rooms, and continental breakfast buffet.
AN ABSOLUTE NIGHT MARE TO FIND WHEN WE EVENTUALLY DID FIND THE HOTEL THE GATES WERE LOOKED ONLY FOR A LARGE SCHOOL TRIP STAYING THERE AND WITH THERE HELP OF THE COACH DRIVER MANAGED TO GET IN AND GET A ROOM VIA OUT SIDE VENDING MACHINE POOR SERVICE
A good stopping off hotel en route to Ouistreham to catch a ferry. The hotel was clean and quiet and had a restaurant and free parking. Large comfortable bed and good bathroom. We have used this hotel previously and will continue to do so.
Very friendly receptionist, who spoke excellent English. Clean, comfortable room, better than most other hotels at a similar price.
Exactly the kind of place I want to stay in for a simple overnight stopover at a reasonable price.
The price made me book the hotel. It was only a stopover for 1 night and I didn't want to spend money payng for things we won't use at the hotel. All we needed was a bed, shower, breakfast and parking and I got all for a fair price.
I had a group of customers with me for a 4 day tour - they really enjoyed their stay at the hotel and it met their expectations in all respects. The food was great and the staff most helpful. Thank you .
