A unique hotel offering the opportunity to stay in comfortable cave accommodation. Family run, and clearly by people who care deeply for the caves that their predecessors lived in and used. We had a very friendly, helpful welcome; and can highly recommend the restaurant on site for a cave dining experience. The staff are happy to make recommendations for other local places to eat. We had a great time, and can highly recommend this unusual accommodation.

It is too far away to see the main sights in the Loire Valley like the most well-kows 'chateaux'. The setting of Saumur is very pleasant, but we travelled miles to see 'le chateau d'Azay', Villandray and Langeais. So only go there if you don't mind driving! In Meigné itself there is nothing to do or to see, but the nature (sunflower fields) is wonderful.
