Perfect place to explore the Lot Valley. Luzech was a lovely village and had everything we needed. We ended up staying an extra night to attend the Fete du Melon (sadly rain dampened the day) and to watch the Luzech rugby matches. Our accommodation was perfect. Good size bedroom with en-suite, kitchen/dining room and a fabulous terrace - all private. Breakfast, brought on a tray to our rooms, was wonderful. Richard and Patsy were very helpful and kind. Loved the chickens too!

Exceptional hosts with open arms hospitality. The home exceeded all expectations, and had EVERYTHING that you could possibly want for a stay. The fact that the bedrooms were all ensuite was an unexpected bonus. Spacious and well equipped kitchen, large living room with comfortable furniture, two outdoor seating areas with gardens, and a view of the Lot River. Short walk into town, with shops and bakeries, and good hiking and walking with scenic views. Truly excellent all round.

Peaceful and idyllic location. Lovely quiet room. Slept like a log. The bed covers were so warm.
An individual styled property showing the owners personality through decor and taste. Unique furniture handmade by Eric that engulfed his individualism.
I truly was drawn into his taste.
Lovely terrace where we had a cooked evening meal.
We arrived on our motorbikes where the lane is hard standing. I turned around the bikes before parking them up. Completely secure there as it was far from the main road. We felt very at ease leaving them overnight.
I would highly recommend any motorcyclist to stay at this property as it felt really secure. Care should be taken manoeuvring the bikes around. But if you can’t do that then you’re a wuss.
Elly and I passed our time away chatting to Felicity and Eric. We were made most welcome and comfortable by the two of them.
We would definitely stay here again.
Small but beautifully location on the Lot river. Ideal for outdoor activities and sampling the wonderful Malbec wines in the Cahors region. Lots of cycle routes to try and different parts of the river to explore in kayaks or canoes. Very friendly locals!

Pretty and lively small town.
Pretty and lively small town. Amazing location at the top of a loop in the river. There are two bridges in the centre of the town so you cross the same river twice in the space of a few hundred feet. Great walks, beautiful scenery, old castle, good shops and restaurant - the Luz d’Olt.

We loved this place - it is situated just outside of Luzech with great views and is quiet and calm, a very relaxing spot to be. The apartment was really comfortable and even when the temperature was heading towards 40, it was cool and pleasant inside. Luzech has bakers, supermarkets, chemist, restaurants - all you need in fact. Breakfast at the property was great and the welcome from the hosts was too - they were generous with their time and local knowledge. We will definitely be returning, and cannot recommend it enough.

If you're looking for more outdoor activities, Castel Rouge is perfectly situated in Luzech. Patsy & Richard are wonderful hosts, and if you're lucky, their hens will have laid some eggs for your breakfast. We stopped off for 3 days on our way to Barcelona and loved cycling through the vineyards, swimming & kayaking in the Lot river, and visiting the local wineries. It really is a beautiful part of the world.
Fresh eggs from the owners’ chickens for breakfast served in the room. Friendly and helpful service. Fantastic private terrace with amazing views (room 5). Great location close to a pretty small town, Luzech, with good shops and a good simple restaurant serving local food. Lots of great walks nearby. Beautiful unspoiled scenery - vineyards and woods along the winding river.
