Cathy is an amazing, warm hostess, she really made me feel so welcome. I only stayed one night as I was meeting a friend at the airport the next day to travel on but I wish I could have stayed longer.
Try not to eat too much in the evenings as you will need an appetite for the amazing homemade breakfast that Cathy prepares for you - absolutely delicious 😋

Set on the edge of a small village. Quite small,friendly site. It had hedges around the accomadation ,which made them private. Not far from the local shop . 3 miles from La Rochelle.

My parents stayed in a suite here with a beautiful view. The staff were exceptional throughout, polite, caring and attentive. The suite was lovely. My parents reported that the breakfasts were excellent also.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. It is modern, clean and comfortable and we would happily stay there again. The staff are brilliant, really helpful and easy to deal with. The on-site car park is very handy. About 5 minutes walk into the Old Port centre. Easily a 5 star hotel.

Good location for birding, cycling, bus into La Rochelle and driving to other destinations. Chalet was too small for my liking and boxed in by other chalets but did have a nice veranda. Swimming Pool was excellent.
There appeared to be a lot of people staying who were working in the area - this led to a lot of early morning noise not expected from other holidaymakers.

If I had seen a picture if the cabin I would not have booked the pictures shown in the booking site mostly show larger cabins and ones on the outside edge if the site where we were they were too close together and you could hear every sound any neighbour made

L'Houmeau is a small coastal village area not far from La Rochelle. It was good to visit the larger spectacular seaside/port town, but very welcoming to get home to the smaller friendly environment of L'Houmeau with its local shops and restaurants. It's a very smart and clean environment and if you are lucky enough to live there - very well done.

The lady owner was delightful.
The lady owner was delightful. The location to La Rochelle airport was very convenient. The area immediately around the property is business and commerce but venture another mile/ kilometer and there are lovely coastal views and beaches.The breakfast was fantastic with home made Brioche , freshly made pancakes and home made conserves as well as many different purchased confitures. I hope to return again. Safe and secure locked parking area.
