Perfect location, quite a night, but only five minutes on foot to the prehistoric museum. Small, but delicious breakfast. Very friendly owner and personnel. Too bad that it was too cold to use the pool. It looked very inviting.
Parking right across from the hotel.

We stayed in Les Eyzies-de-Tayac because we were interested in exploring the Vezere Valley and it seemed to be a good place to base our search. It proved to be a great choice - the hotel was fantastic and the scenic town had a number of really great dining options within walking distance.

Les Ezyies is a charming, friendly town in the heart of the Perigord with great hotels, restaurants and amenities. Many lovely pre-history sites within 25 kilometers, and the Museum of Pre-History in the middle of town is extraordinary.

Staying in Les Eyzies makes it easy to see as many caves and abris as possible. I definitely recommend staying in Les Eyzies itself, rather than travelling in, if you want to see lots of sites and visit the museum. Les Eyzies is like an archaeological theme park! Also the Prehistory Museum is free on Sunday afternoons, which was a nice surprise. We went to the Museum and then visited Abri Pataud the next day. We also went to Rouffignac, which is a 25 minute drive away. We decided not to try Font-de-Gaume as we were travelling with our baby, and were advised that we would have to queue for a long time early in the morning to get a ticket. I would like to go back for longer next time and visit more of the local sites. I would also like to try kayaking next time too, as there are lots of kayak hire places along the river. We did go for a nice bike ride though, and there are some good off-road paths. The Portuguese Restaurant in the village was good value and baby-friendly!

Why are they making people stand in line for tix in the internet age? we had to get up crack of dawn. RAINING. NO SHELTER. It shows what they really think of tourists. No instinct for hospitality. Tour guide a failed jokester. If there's good food in the town we did not discover it.

The location of the hotel is wonderful. It is at the end of the little town but is still a 10
minute walk - if that - from the “downtown” area. The hotel is lovely. Our room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable. We had dinner at the hotel and it was phenomenal. The food was delicious and the presentation of the various dishes was lovely. We chatted with the co-owner who was warm and friendly, and very helpful. We stayed 3 nights and the whole experience was delightful.
The hotel building and the grounds are beautiful. The Beune river lies imediately in front of the hotel and there is a sitting area with chairs close to the water's edge - a great spot for relaxing and reading your holiday book. A stream from the Beune drives the mill wheel and ducks often come to visit the guests. There's plenty of parking at the hotel, and there are numerous bars and restaurants just a few minutes walk away.
Dirty dark and dingy apartment, broken shower, noisy neighbours upstairs until early hours of the morning (make sure you get a room on the top floor), even though advertise as English speaking this is not the case. Have to clean apartment yourselves even though booking.com advertises as cleaning included. We arrived to hairs on the toilet. No response from hotel to any questions prior to stay. Very disappointing stay.
The property is lovely, beautifully maintained and in a perfect location. We were impressed by the high quality of the hotel’s restaurants - breakfasts and dinner were delicious, the service first rate and friendly. The overall gracious approach to running this hotel was evident every day of our stay and clearly defined by its commitment to provide a wonderful experience!
We can’t recommend it enough!
Good location away from the road but easy walking to town. The pool was very welcome and we loved sitting in the garden by the river. This is not a 'luxury' hotel but they had all we needed and it was a good price. A/C was effective and not noisy. Plenty of parking. Staff working hard to keep everything right for guests, eg wiping down outside chairs every morning.
Everything was fine. We arrived on our motorbikes, eight of us and a member of staff invited us to sit down in the shade, it was a very hot day. She returned with eight Long island iced teas, on the house. This is a very nice four star hotel in a very nice location. The tasting menu was amazing, dinner took three hours. The rooms were great as was the breakfast.
Great location for traveling the Dordogne and in particular the Noir. Walking distance from resturants, the Prehistoric museum, Cro Megnon and more.
The owner is dedicated and the place is clean well treated and equiped.
Superb breakfast.
Plenty of seating corners and privacy.
Bottom line if you are in search for a location that one is highly recommended
The hotel staff was incredible forthcoming and supportive, being flexible and doing their best to make our stay successful. Many innovative little things, such as the bar of locally made soaps to replace plastic bottles in the rooms was a pleasure. Obviously the kitchen is not cheap, but very much worth the money and fulfilling.
This hotel is a very pretty and tranquil spot in the midst of busy and touristy Les Eyzes. Large, attractive and very comfortable rooms and common areas. Location was very convenient to the town center and cave art sites. My dog loved it as well, especially the outdoor terrace.
The owners, Ruud and Jan, were exceptional hosts and extremely welcoming. We stayed three nights and ended up eating dinner at the hotel each evening as the food was so unexpectedly fantastic. We will definitely stay there again when we are next in the area.
Gorgeous, beautifully restored hotel. Our room even had a terrace. Pretty pool. Excellent breakfast. Close to all of the caves and nice restaurants. The best part were the owners; friendly, helpful, dedicated.
