I stayed one night while in a cycling tour. The room was very quiet, clean and comfortable. There’s a good space for bikes at the hotel in the courtyard and breakfast was very good. The host was very friendly and gave recommendations for dinner

This hotel is in a really good location, in a pretty little town in easy walking distance from shops, cafés, restaurants etc. Highly recommended from that point of view.
The hotel itself is perfectly adequate; the room we were in was maybe a little basic with a smallish bathroom, but all perfectly acceptable for the price. Dinner at the hotel restaurant was excellent, and breakfast the next morning was fine, if a little limited in choice compared to some of the hotels we stayed at.

In La Charité, you can visit the old church, priory, city walls and enjoy the local Saturday market on the main square. The Hotel Le Bon Laboureur was a great place! The staff, the hotel, and the rooms were friendly, clean, very comfortable and nice. They have a great location allowing for nice walk every morning and evening across the bridge to and from the village of La Charité-sur-Loire. There is a wonderful pizza restaurant on the corner and several other restaurants and pubs just across the bridge.
Very convenient location on the main road (not busy) leading into the town centre. Quirky old building dedicated to famous French authors. Good airy breakfast room, and good quality continental breakfasts. There is a free public car park immediately behind the hotel, but if you prefer to use Parking Bleue in the street immediately outside, the hotel has tne necessary passes.
(1) We loved the location of the property, overlooking the main square of La Charite, with views from the top bedroom windows of the old city walls and Loire valley.
(2) Accommodation had also been updated and was in very good condition.
(3) The local lady available for giving the keys and any other support, was very welcoming and helpful.

hotel was like fawlty towers. if that’s a good thing. walk up to the hotel was like a jungle.
