A charming hotel in an 18th century property, The Originals Boutique, Hôtel d'Angleterre, Fécamp features comfortably modern and well decorated rooms.

Old hotel in dire need of renovation, soundproofing and decoration. faulty wifi for the entire stay, BUT very clean and the gentleman at reception was lovely.

Fecamp is a working town, with a harbour and beach.

Fecamp is a working town, with a harbour and beach. The town is compact, with a general selection of shops. We found the location perfect for walks along the cliffs, visiting gardens and eating out. Visit the old abbey where Benedictine was made; it has a lovely cocktail bar in an atrium, with accompanying shop. Also, a lovely walk to visit Les Jardins de Louanne & K. which are worth visiting. Le Jardin de Etretat is about half an hours drive away.

We came to Fécamp so that we could visit the Palais Benedictine which was definitely worth it. Fécamp is an interesting port town. We unfortunately had terrible weather so it dulled our trip a bit. We arrived latish (9:30pm) in a terrible storm & found that the restaurants which were supposed to be open til 11pm closed at 10pm. We ended up finding a bar that had food so we were able to get something. We walked around Fécamp the next morning, then visited the Palais. As soon as our tour was over we drove to Veules-les-Roses (suggestion of the Fécamp tourist bureau) for the late afternoon & dinner before returning to Fécamp. We stayed 2 nights in Fécamp. In retrospect it may have been better to stay 1 night or visit the Palais from another locale. But with better weather we would have probably enjoyed our time there more.

    Quiet place (April), free parking.

Quiet place (April), free parking. Visit Palais Bénedictine (or just buy a bottle of B&B!). Make sure to walk to the upper town centre which is different from the coastal area. Large super market Carrefour at walking distance. For families with children: MacDonalds and Buffalo Grill (5 minute drive to Saint-Leonard).

A charming seaside village that is rich in local and maritime history. There is an abundance of attractions that include chapels, abbeys, cathedrals, an exceptionally good maritime museum and numerous easy walks along the beach or the spectacular Côte de Alabastero.

Lovely little town, everything is just a walk away.

Lovely little town, everything is just a walk away. The fishing museum is also a museum of Fecamp and its region and an art gallery, with visiting exhibitions. Take the lift to the top floor for the best views. Really, really interesting and a bargain at 7 euros 100% you have to go to the Palais de Benedictine, it's amazing and right in the heart of town. Samples on offer and a cocktail bar onsite. Plenty of restaurants at all prices, along the waterfront and Le Rex near St Stephen's Church. I'm sorry there was no time to go to the Abbey - bags of history there. And it wasn't beach weather in October but I'll be there next time.

A beautiful city with so much history!

A beautiful city with so much history! Try a dish with salted cod; its a locale thing. Also make certain you take the time to visit Benedictine Abbey!! Make reservations for a tour there LONG before you arrive or you wont get in. If you miss the tour, visit the tasting room and/or the bar. The bar staff can open the shop for you to buy items after hours :) There are few restaurants open to serve meals after 9pm, but there is a place directly across the canal from the Hotel Le Grand Pavois that serves inside and out until 11pm. Food is good but, the portions are HUGE... you can share.

"Alchimie" is the place to go if you want tranquility and elegance all at once. This is a fantastic home. It offers everything you could want and more. "Alchimie" is far more gorgeous than the photographs show. Fecamp is also absolutely fantastic. It is also incredibly simple to live. The location of the house in Fecamp is excellent: it is near to the beach and retail areas. Alain (the host) met us at the railway station and we spent 15 days of calm as a family.

We rented this room in the last minute, so maybe we could not expect too much. The hotel is very close to the beach and the room was clean, which was the most important for us. I would like to thank all the people offering a review, as it was accurate and helped us form an opinion.

If you're looking for an unusual experience, this is for you. We had the whole boat to ourselves, and enjoyed a wonderful trip along the coast with the charming hosts. Being gently rocked to sleep by the waves is certainly not part of the run-of-the-mill hotel experience!
