we stayed in crespin because we needed a place to sleep whilst visiting the Dour festival. If you have no problem with long walks it's actually even doable by foot since it's only a few kilometres away (it sounds further because it is in france, but the town is so close to the border that at the middle of the mainstreet you are already in Belgium (quevrechain or whatever the belgian town is called)), there's also a train platform there which can take you to Thulin, so you can skip about 4km (or something like that) of the total walk. A taxi from dour back to Crespin in the night set us back about 30 euros. We were only here for the Dour festival so nothing much else to tell you about the environment
