Easy access to nice town, great for visiting the Normandy beach landing sites etc. Well appointed apartment but needs wi-fi for travellers who are always on the go. Hosts were helpful to solve problems.
Le Refuge Marin is situated in Courseulles-sur-Mer, less than 1 km from East Beach, a 18-minute walk from Port de Plaisance, as well as 1.3 km from Juno Beach Centre.

I was there for the Juno Beach Ceremony of D-Day. The whole city was great. Being within walking distance of the Juno Beach Centre was fantastic. As well as being able to walk the beach. Be sure to check out the little restaurant at the one end by the small inlet. Also Cote Plage restaurant with a Mini Golf Course.

Courselles-sur-mer is a sweet little place with some very nice eating establishments - great for seafood. The smell of the harbour and the sight of seabirds picking amongst the fishing trays was entertaining and scallop shells everywhere!

Good quality places to eat, good for walks along the seafront, lots to see in the town and the various areas close by related to Normandy Landings.
The town is exceptionally clean which can be said for the majority of the towns around the whole area.

It was chosen for its location on the Coast, to D-Day landing sites and to WWII cemeteries, few of which we have visited on previous French trips, to pay our respects to those who fell during W.W.II
The prices and costs of many things were much higher than where we had spent three weeks, for example the cheapest breakfast was 14 Euros, opposed to eight further South! Bit of a surprise!

Rodolphe and Laurence are very caring and lovely hosts. Their love and dedication are also reflected in the details of their house and in their home made breakfast that had many culinary tasty surprises. Location is also top: 5 min walk to Juno beach. Weekly street market is around the corner. Top sightseeings can be reached well by car: Omaha beach, Pointe du Hoc, Bayeux, Caen, Arromanche, Cabourg, Deauville, etc. Delicious restaurants directly in Courseulles.
The apartment is spacious and well-maintained with good layout. The chilly early June in Normandy was managed by an automatic heating setting that kept the temperature in the apartment comfortable.
Two balconies on either side of the building allow for a nice view of either the marina or the beach. The D-day museum for Juno beach is practically next door, as are remnants of German bunkers. There are a number of restaurants a short walk away.
Excellent location, room clean with view of sea. Room not very spacious but ok. No soap supplied other than in the shower dispenser. Bed Ok. Good parking in the area close to the hotel.
Manager was excellent though one member of staff a little surly.
We had our dog with us and the hotel was very understanding about her and we weren't over-charged as some hotels like to do.
The property is very clean and well maintained. Our room was very spacious and had a lot of natural light. It is extremely well located, a few steps from shops, restaurants, the beach and Juneau Center while it remained very easy to park our car. The host, Marie-Pierre, is most welcoming and will answer all your questions. she uses local or homemade products for the breakfast.
Property was clean well presented with everything you need for your stay (kettle, toaster, microwave, hob & fridge)
Amazing shower!!!
Location was EXCELLENT 5 minutes from Carrefour (shop) 7/8 minutes from bus stop to Caen or Bayeux and 8/9 minutes from the beach
Juno beach centre (WW2 memorial) also within walking distance
Great location. Close to Juno beach centre and other landing sites, great restaurants within walking distance, and Caen only 20 min drive away. Super nice hosts who were very friendly, accommodating and helpful. Extremely clean. Lots of free parking available. Master bedroom bed was very comfortable.
Lociation perfect,clean and new.
A few minutes walk to Juno Beach, the harber, restaurants and centre of Courseilles sur mer.
We stayed with our jeep to visit the landing beaches on D-Day 80 anniversary.
The privat parking inside the building is perfect!
Very recommendable location.
The hotel itself has a nice independent personality. The room was small but unique with its own decor , and a nice shutter window overlooking the street. The staff at reception were always very friendly, and breakfast was really lovely in the morning .
Great accommodation, all the amenities one could need.
Bed was comfortable
Shower clean and modern
Eric greeted me and showed me where to park and gave me a tour of apartment.
Great location to walk to all attractions within Courseulles-sur-Mer
Great location, close to everything, and the room faced the ocean. Wonderful people. It is really just a huge restaurant operation with a few hotel rooms on top of the restaurant and a few more in a separate buildings across the street.
I felt at home. Everything was welcoming. The place is warm and at a good location near lots of restaurant and good sites. I recommend the place to stay and enjoy the history around the place.
Just next to Juno Beach, free parking, good breakfast, we had supper at the restaurant and was really satisfied. Personnel really professional and ready to attend any needs.
