Located next to a vineyard and very close to Beziers. The whole compound is very pleasant. It is run by a charming lady who made us feel very welcome. The house/gite had all the necessary amenities. (They ask you to bring your own towels)

The staff were very good, the proprietor? He came out when he saw us driving around looking lost. He was receptionist, barman and in the restaurant the waiter and sommelier. The hotel is in a quiet village and parking outside can be an issue but there are a few garage spaces available at additional cost and a lot of parking not far away. There is a terrace that overlooks a small pool and we enjoyed an aperitif there before the meal. The restaurant had a good fixed price menu and the local wine went down well. Good shower and breakfast set us up well for the next day. Well worth travelling a bit away from the autoroute.

Expected Colombiers with two gourmet restaurants and a canal side location to be bursting with cute boutiques in ancient lanes. There is an old part which is mainly residential and right next door a very ugly, very modern part which seems to be mostly medical facilities. Was there on a grey day in October which didn't help, but I wouldn't call it a destination unless you're boating or going for the (excellent) restaurants.
We stopped for one night in this delightful hotel in a sleepy village and wished we could have stayed longer. The hotel and its staff are charming and we enjoyed a wonderful meal and were surprised to a find a secret swimming pool on the roof.
The appartment is spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and a well equipped kitchen. It was the perfect place to stay for me and my dog.
Colombiers is a charming village and the nature is beautiful. The owner is really friendly.
We know the restaurant from wonderful visits in the past but the hotel rooms are new to us. Our room was vast with a fabulous comfortable bed etc and the whole place was utterly peaceful
