Our room was very comfortable with a window overlooking a pedestrianised street.
Very central for a walk around this charming town. There was ample underground parking on site. The breakfast buffet was generous and gave us a great start to a day involving a long drive south.
Have a relaxing stay in Hotel Les Remparts, which offers a warm and friendly setting in a former coaching inn. It is just 100 metres from Chaumont Train Station and the town centre.

This is our third annual visit. We feel so welcome. The food is lovely and the village is amazing. We use this as our first stop after the Eurotunnel from UK on our European motorbike trips.
The owner is brilliant: a great sense of humour and he cares. A lot.

Clean room and common areas, room comfortably spacious, good parking in front of the building, quiet in spite of a busy road in front of the building. A few minutes drive from the city center and not far from the motorway.
Breakfast ok, although not very rich.

Nothing, room was pure cigarette smell, shower outside and really dirty, no reimbursement even after I’m paying for 2 rooms and not used, as I wouldn’t stay with my family.

Excellent location & very tranquil area. The home was perfectly clean, everything provided & laid out beautifully with great entertainment to occupy the children. The rooms are spacious with good sized bathrooms, convenient parking & a lovely outdoor space. Great communication from the host prior to our stay which made checking in easy.
A lovely home & perfect for what we needed.

Chaumont is a small provincial capital (22,000 people), with limited tourist appeal. The most important sight is the 600 metre railway viaduct, just beyond the station; it's worfth a detour. One can visit the main buildings in the city in a couple of hours on foot. The Centre National de Graphisme, which is recommended, was open only from 2 pm when we were there. We dined in the restaurant of the Hotel des Remparts, which was unexpectedly excellent; curiously, it's closed on Sundays and Mondays, but otherwise reservations might be needed.
This quiet city is fine for a one-night stay.

We had a few hours to visit the centre and/or buildings. City centre is poor and poverly. We found almost no restaurants - and only then open after 19.00 hrs.....on reservation.
For resting place it is ok - (distance south/north) but there are more interesting places. The restaurant we found (Le Tandem) was extraordinay good....
We could walk from our hotel tot the city centra in 10 minutes.

After staying in a not very pleasant hotel in Switzerland it was a relief to stay in a clean, comfortable and modern hotel in Chaumont. An ideal location for anybody travelling across France from the UK. The staff were lovely too.
unexpected stay for us due to car breakdown en-route home from Italy. I'm happy to say that this hotel was an unexpected gem, and a lot better than expected for the cost.
Really good communication upon booking. Very friendly and welcoming on arrival and during our stay. The guy running the reception desk was exceptional and went out of his way to help us with transport for the next day.
Rooms are spacious and clean, beds and pillows comfortable, showers great and service excellent.
Really good continental breakfast.
The hotel is on a great location and were very happy with our room! The property has an excellent restaurant on site where we enjoyed a lovely dinner, and although we normally don’t eat breakfast in the hotels in France, we decided to do so this time, and was more than pleasantly surprised with the quality of the homemade breakfast. The hotel welcomes dogs at a charge, and the staff was really welcoming to both us and our dogs. We will certainly be back!
Really quaint family run hotel in very picturesque setting. Rooms of a good size and spotlessly clean. Excellent restaurant offering a number of a la carte dishes and great set menu options. Had the Goumet menu and it was fantastic. Would definitely stay again.
Great location with covered secure parking (extra cost) . A dog friendly hotel that allows you to take dogs into the restaurant, too. Important when travelling solo. Very spacious room , super comfy bed, and linen. . Large bathroom.
The breakfasts were exceptionally good. They put the hard-work-helping-yourself breakfasts at more expensive hotels to shame. They were truly generous.
