We had a lovely weekend at this property. The house is wonderful, our bedroom was extremely spacious and clean. Breakfast was plentiful. We had table d'hote with the owners and the meal was very good and value for money.

Incredible location. Great value for money. The place was beautiful - we had the whole place to ourselves. Peaceful, unspoiled and clean. Swimming in the lake was a real highlight for us.

Gorgeous traditional French house with clean beautifully decorated room. Superb hosts, Rik& Petra who were so friendly and kind. Loved the use of the pool with its toys for the children - a blessing in the summer heatwave!
Le Vieux Fournil is the perfect couples getaway. Everything you need for a very relaxing break. Superbly renovated old building nestled in beautiful countryside with just birdsong as an accompaniment. We felt very lucky to have found this delightful place. Sue and Darren are the perfect hosts with nothing too much trouble. We will definitely return. Chabanais and surrounding villages are very picturesque with the mighty River Vienne flowing through the centre.
