Le Vieux Castillon is located in the heart the small medieval village of Castillon-du-Gard, a 35-minute drive from Nîmes and Avignon. The famous Pont du Gard is 3.5 km away.

The village itself is quaint. We loved the pool and lounger area of the hotel.
There are 3 restaurants in the village (plus the village BAR, which is a MUST to experience). The local restaurants all close on a Wednesday, so we ate in the hotel, which was fine but not as good as being out in the village (in our opinion).

Staff were lovely and talkative. Food was very good. The flamboyant decor was fabulous. Very dog friendly too. Would go back.
Located in Vers-Pont-du-Gard, La Bégude Saint-Pierre sits in a 17th-century building with a 14-hectare domain with olive trees. It features an outdoor swimming pool, a lounge bar and a restaurant.

Beautifully secluded property oozing the charm of the South of France. As far as the location is concerned, I would definitely go again for longer.
The room was comfortable and had all the amenities we needed.
We were there overnight on our travels and everything was perfect for that.
The restaurant was closed so the proprietor recommended and arranged another one in the area which we really enjoyed.

Castillon-du-Gard is small village itself up the hill from Remoulins with a market every Tuesday selling fresh olives, tapanade, wine, cheese, paella, vegetables and more. There's a butcher, boulangerie, a clothes shop and a two to three restaurants. It does have tourists but is a lovely French village that hasn't been spoilt by tourism.
Walk down from Castillon-du-Gard toward Remoulins and there's kayaks and bikes for hire.
We didn't hire a car but if you want to get around the area, then it would be advisable to do so. Vers du Pont is worth a visit where we caught some live blues music.

We loved the 5 days that we spent at the windmill.
We loved the 5 days that we spent at the windmill. We will treasure the memories that we made there. The location is perfect. The view of the Pont du Gard is spectacular. It is really the only other structure you can see. You have the beneift of feeling secluded in your own little piece of heaven, but can easily walk into the charming village of Castillon du Gard for a delicious meal in one of the handful of restaurants. The accommodations were clean, charming, and comfortable. The kitchen had everything we needed to enjoy cooking and eating meals inside and at the picnic table outside. We would love to return again someday. I dont think you could find a more relaxing, unique place to stay. Highly recommended!
Also: The owner was very helpful and friendly. Do make the short drive to Chateau du Bosc where you can sample and buy his wines.

Bot the rooms, which were in separate parts of the hotel, were very comfortable and spacious. The breakfast was excellent and the lunches and dinner were also very good. The pool was lovely with great views, although the mistral chose to blow, out of season, whilst we were there which made things rather windy and cool at night as Castillon du Gard is on the top of a hill and exposed. So jumpers and jackets were unexpectedly needed. The staff were helpful and stored some wine I had brought in a cool room during our stay.
A hotel located in a medieval village with absolutely gorgeus views over the Provencal valley. Two beautiful towel swans greeted us in our room because of our honeymoon - special thanks for the staff! You could truly feel the Provence vibes at all of the public areas such us leafy patios, sunny breakfast area and serene swimming pool area. The location was also perfect for exploring Pont du Gard. Will definitely recommend this place.
Great pool, lots of big towels. Hotel location is spectacular but the tight streets of the town preclude views of the countryside. The rooms are all characterful and tasteful. Good shower. Lots of Occitane unguents. Tasty breakfast but you have to walk across to another room to get food and there are no trays so many trips involved!
The hotel is very beautiful and set in a picturesque village in a quiet location, perfect for relaxing and recharging.
Had some lovely meals at Joio restaurant in the village. Had outstanding meals at the main restaurant in the hotel with amazing local produce.
All staff were very helpful and attentive.
Felt closer to a 5* hotel :)
Lovely pool area and how the hotel seamlessly integrates with an old village.
Hotel also had pool drinks service, pool table and table football and a lovely courtyard.
Room was spacious and good AC
Breakfast was great both in choice and quality
The hotel felt luxurious and in keeping with the medieval village. Great location for the village. Excellent pool with plenty of sunbeds and umbrellas for shade. Good size bedroom.
Great views of the Provence countryside.
it’s a gorgeous property , very stylish and excellent food. Castilian is a low key village with little else other than the hotel. it was a relaxing stay. close proximity to the market town of uzes
Overall a nice Hotel, but Lack of Management. Lots of staff, all very friendly, all very inefficient. Please help them! They need some guidance. If you do so, this could be a perfect Place.
