We arrived in Caunes Minervois On a cold and rainy December day and had had a very warm welcome at the hotel. Our room was big, high ceilings, old fashioned, typical French, lovely and warm and just perfect.
The room had a separate toilet and a shower room with the most amazing local Caunes-Marble wash basin. Which makes perfect sense as the Hotel La Marbrerie was the old marble manufacture.
Boasting a tennis court and views of quiet street, Les deux arches is a bed and breakfast set in a historic building in Caunes-Minervois, 50 km from Abbaye de Fontfroide.

We were very warmly welcomed by Natasha, Dean & Alphonse. They have done a wonderful job renovating their lovely medieval home. It's so authentic, full of character and charm. Our room was lovely, very comfortable & relaxing. We loved this place. It was spacious and quirky with places for every mood and every type of weather.
Laurent was very welcoming and helpful when we had a bit of a problem with the TV he came over to help and sorted it.( that mattered as we wanted to watch a World Cup rugby game!!)
