This was a lovely place to stay for our family of 12. The pool was a bonus for our mid teen kids and there was plenty of space for all of us over 2 cottages. It was about a 8-10 minute drive to the old part of Sarlat and was a great base to explore the other attractions of the area. This is such a beautiful part of France. The accommodation was clean and comfortable and had everything we needed for a fabulous few days away. Would definitely recommend.

A spotlessly clean hotel by fields on the edge of the marvellous medieval town of Sarlart. Anne-Marie, the hotel owner, was a lovely person - efficient, friendly and attentive to every detail. She and her partner were super hosts, Excellent large varied breakfast buffet is well worth paying for it each day. Large bedroom with separate toilet and bathroom area en suite. All are ground floor bedrooms and our seated terrace area had views across the large lawn to the hillside in distance. Ample free parking. Very steep 15 minute walk down hill to the down and also back - car advisable especially for touring the area which is full of chateaus and many other place of interest. Weather was unseasonably cold - even a frost! There is an outdoor swimming pool for summer use. Our room was warm and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. No evening meals or lunch served but good recommendations given for some of Sarlat's many restaurants.

I loved being surrounded by amazing nature and not seeing any other building from the hotel! the hotel has a pool, a restaurant and onsite massage available. the owners are friendly and helpful. This is an incredible place for a holiday, I absolutely loved it. There’s lots to do close by too, there’s a cool track through the forest right behind the hotel that you can walk along to explore the area.
We had a fantastic week in Carsac-Aillac! Karen and Philipp are super nice and perfect hosts, discreet but always there when needed. The appartment is perfect for hot summer days as it doesn't heat up. But the location's highlights are certainly the pool and patio where you can relax from breakfast to midnight under the stars. Close to the sites as well...
