A spotlessly clean hotel by fields on the edge of the marvellous medieval town of Sarlart. Anne-Marie, the hotel owner, was a lovely person - efficient, friendly and attentive to every detail. She and her partner were super hosts, Excellent large varied breakfast buffet is well worth paying for it each day. Large bedroom with separate toilet and bathroom area en suite. All are ground floor bedrooms and our seated terrace area had views across the large lawn to the hillside in distance. Ample free parking. Very steep 15 minute walk down hill to the down and also back - car advisable especially for touring the area which is full of chateaus and many other place of interest. Weather was unseasonably cold - even a frost! There is an outdoor swimming pool for summer use. Our room was warm and cosy and the bed was very comfortable. No evening meals or lunch served but good recommendations given for some of Sarlat's many restaurants.

Carlux is a charming village in beautiful countryside, a great place to stay if you want calm and is close to Sarlat and Rocamadour. Our room had a lovely view over the countryside, it was comfortable and even though the day time temperature in the Dordogne had been in the late-30sC the evening cooled down and with a fan it was cool at night. Great to have breakfast included. Audrey and her mum were very helpful and welcoming. I highly recommend staying here
Exceptional rooms with luxury en-suites. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable with very hospitable hosts. Close to beautiful village of Carlux and within easy reach of many of the Dordogne's best attractions. Domme, Sarlat, Marquaysac and Eyrignac gardens as well as the many castles along the river.
It is not a posh hotel but cozy and great value for money in a lovely, very quiet village with an interesting history. The owners are very kind and welcoming.
