This was a stop over for us on the journey to Caen and the ferry home. It was in the right place, with private parking for the car. It is the perfect place for a family. It has everything you could wish for including cots, high chairs and games galore. The shower is great with a slip mat and somewhere to put soap or shampoo without having to put it on the floor. The living room has lots of comfortable seating. The TV worked just fine. We have no hesitation in recommending the gîte. Sonia was very helpful when we wanted to eat on a Sunday lunchtime and persisted until she found somewhere open and not fully booked. She didn't want us dieting! Our bed was comfy and the radiators efficient - in October it was getting a little cold.

Our third stay in this chateau, so you can guess we like it ! We ate in the restaurant on both evenings, and enjoyed exceptionally good meals with friendly service. Breakfast was slightly disappointing, with empty trays of the two warm items though more was added upon request. For comparison, the hotel we moved on to the following day had an extensive breakfast menu of hot and cold items, and at a lower price - though the décor and grandeur of the chateau's facilities are top class.
