Traveling as a parent alone with two young boys. Hotel Alphee was superb! The staff were very helpful and friendly, we felt very safe and comfortable. Highly recommend.
Les Castets d'Ayré is located just a 5-minute walk from the Barèges village centre and 15 minutes by shuttle from the Domaine du Tourmalet Ski Resort.

After a long car drive through a huge storm we arrived at this lovely small hotel and immediately had a warm welcome by the owner.
The room and bathroom were extremely clean, spacious enough for the two of us, with two balconies facing the main road but with the double-glazed windows noise is not a problem. The room does not have AC but in June and in the mountains that was not a problem and the central heating during the night was perfect.
The room has a tea/coffee maker.
It is possible to have meals if booked in advance.
The owner was friendly and helpful with hints and suggestions on where to go and what to see.
The parking in front of the hotel was full but there is more car parking just a minute from the hotel.
Would certainly return and recommend!

What I liked the most was Bareges and the mountains, nothing about the apartment

we had booked the room with view to the old castle - and we had that room - room no. 106. From there we also could hear the river - and nothing more. Hotel is very central -

Exceptionally friendly and helpful owners, we had stock in this township and they provided valuable help to get out successfully. Please try landlady tea which she as professional botanist collected in the region!
Hôtel La Grange Aux Marmottes is located in the Le-Pays-Toy valley, in the heart of the Pyrénées. It has an outdoor swimming pool and guestrooms have a private bathroom with lift access and TV.

We spent one night at this hotel and both found it was one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in large or small anywhere in the world. Truly exceptional. The service is top class. The restaurant was friendly and served excellent food. The room was beautifully appointed and completely clean. The staff were both efficient and friendly and found out within minutes whether the nearby road over the Col de Tourmalet was open when we had failed to find the information ourselves.

An interesting place, particularly liked the Spa which we made use of. Good access to walks and mountain scenery. While we were there it was quiet in the evenings, although we were told it livens up in the winter months with the skiing.
We really enjoyed our stay at Les Sorbiers. Brendan and Mary have created a really friendly and welcoming atmosphere for their guests. Breakfast was great, as was the packed lunch they provided us with for our day hike. We'd also highly recommend having dinner there at least once - the food was excellent (and plentiful!). Bareges is a great location, with a lot of great walks from the village or from very close by.
This is a very spacious apartment although the decor is pretty old and tired now. But the price reflects that and is very reasonable for this beautiful mountain village. There is lots of kit in the flat - especially the kitchen so we were able to hold a dinner party for friends and family staying in Bareges. Individuals also had space in which to get privacy if they wanted it.
This studio in Bareges is perfect for a couple that want to hike around for some days in summer. The place is small, but it is clean and cossy. The kitchen is full equiped and has the basic for cooking (salt, oil, coffee, suggar, teas, washing soap, etc.).
The owner gave us the instructions to get in by whatsapp, and they were clear and easy.
Excellent location in centre of town with free ski bus stop opposite the hotel entrance. Breakfasts were excellent as where the two evening meals we had in the hotel restaurant. We would especially recommend the Fondue/Raclette. Hotel and rooms were kept spotlessly clean. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Great location along the road from Luz St Sevrain to Tourmalet. The hotel has a pleasant restaurant with good dishes, very tasty. They try to introduce Belgian dishes into their offering allowing for a culinary exploration into renowned Belgian gourmet cuisine. Rooms are comfortable and clean.
I really liked the hotel (even Toulouse Lautrec, the painter, stayed here, as I found out from a leaflet :)). The room was large and stylishly decorated, clean and comfortable. Very kind lady owner. The breakfast was fair but dinner was plentiful (4 courses) and tasty, excellent value for money.
My family loved this hotel. The owners were so helpful with tips on hikes and activities in the area. They are also amazing cooks. We thoroughly enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners. Honestly some of the best food we had on our 2 week trip in France. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Cosy and nice small hotel. As we stayed in a quiet period the hotel was perfect. If crowded, it should be an issue because of the noise between rooms and stairs. Staff was very nice. Great to ski at Baréges/Grand Tourmalet
