Absolutely gorgeous place to stay! So FULL of character and interest in such a pretty rural village. Perfect situation for us visiting a War Cemetary and heading for Ijmuiden from our Pyrenéean Adventure. Warmest of warm and witty welcomes from Simon and Dad Charles who generously credits Simon with being The Boss! Both are clearly hugely talented. Breakfast is being prepared early for us as we have a long journey....no trouble. Simon brought freshly picked grapes for us soon after our arrival..delicious. Excited about the prospect of fried fresh eggs from Simon's hens in an hours time! Our apartment is so characterful and luxurious...linen and toiletries and books and things of interest, and when we call again anyone who can play table tennis within 10K had better look out...I'm good!!! Our host Jessica was superb! She did everything to make our stay comfortabel, from recommending a restaurant (and informing availabilithy) to arranging a wonderful breakfast.

Jessica recommended several restaurants, but especially our dinner at Le Relais de Beaufort was excellent! They have a vending machine outside, so the following day we went back for a meal which we took home.
Special note: there was a snackbar a few minutes from our accommodation. I cannot remember the name but if you want a quick and simple mail, I can recommend this for fries, etc. We speak basic French and the man working there heard our accents and came without asking to offer help in translating the menu and explaining what was on offer. A very kind and friendly gesture!
