The (official) access road to La Villa Vicha can make you doubt if you made the right decision to book at this location. The road is super narrow with only a few passing points, it is filled with thousands of potholes and you cannot trust your navigation to find this road in the first place as the second access road is not usable except if you have travelled by farming tractor.
But when you enter the grounds you forget about that access road and you are greeted by a beautiful, charming and very nice location. Nicely landscaped with little chalets spread across the wooded area. The main building house the restaurant (and I guess, the rooms). An attractive pool area, tennis courts and a wellness area for private use. A little stable with a couple of horses makes the setting perfect.
The staff is friendly and really wants you to feel at home. We booked a suite but I think they gave us the chalet as we stayed a couple days in a fine and cosy little chalet with a small sitting room, a small bedroom with a large bed (both with its own airco unit) and a very nice and rather large bathroom. The bed was very comfy and it is super quiet during the night. We slept really well. Breakfast is not exuberant but fits perfectly within the concept of the location. Good bread, “fromage” and “charcuterie”, dairy products and so on. The nice lady serving us made pancakes.
We dined at the restaurant which was a tasteful and nice experience. The chef is making some wonderful food together with drinks from the (separate) bar. The bar is located adjacent to the restaurant and gives off a beach club feeling with home made cocktails and mocktails. At first glance it looks somewhat out of place but after sunset and with more guests coming in, it had a wonderful and nice vibe.
In all, although we only stayed here for a couple of days, we are definitely coming back.

Loved this place! Different but very comfortable room. Gorgeous pool area. Staff spoke English, were super helpful and friendly. The breakfast was excellent loved the views sitting in the restaurant terrace.
Good base for doing daytrips. The town is small and rural but very alive with local markets, festivities, exhibits and traditions. Plenty of wineries in the vicinity. The locals are very friendly even if you don't speak French. They have a good boulangerie with nice staff and the pizzeria is also very good.
