Total French experience, in the heart of Champagne region, price included breakfast, great choice of bread, cheeses, cold meats, jams etc, all produced in house ( farm) or locally.
Hosts have vineyards and produce Champagne commercially, a free bottle with evening meal and thereafter 19.80 euros a bottle!! for one of the best champagnes I have ever tasted. You can purchase more on departure, would have liked to have stayed longer to see more of the region, rural France at its best.

The house is part of an historic chateau farm and has been beautifully restored to a very high standard. Entry is via an archway into a large courtyard. The only marking outside the arch is the property number (4) therefore having a look for it on Google Street before arriving will be helpful in identifying it. A car is essential as you will have to drive to a restaurant and evening meals are not available except for groups. There aren't any shops in the village. As far as we could see the house is not suitable for disabled people - access to most rooms is via spiral staircases. Nicolas is a charming and helpful host, who lives in his farm a couple of kilometres away. He is happy to make restaurant reservations for you but it may be a good idea to discuss your budget with him to avoid surprises. We loved it and will certainly return.
