Location to the Chateau, Loire & town centre was great. Did not take breakfast mostly due to cost, Car parking was good. Ate dinner in the hotel next door (which was excellent) as only breakfast available here.

All the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble, the rooms and grounds were clean and tidy and a very convenient location to Amboise centre and other local chateaux. The restaurant is superb fantastic food and service we even asked about a meal we had eaten there previously and on the second night they put it on the menu for us , excellent, we could not have asked for more, we would recommend this hotel to anyone, thank you.

Amboise is absolutely charming!
Amboise is absolutely charming! Chateau Amboise is one of my favorites and Clos Luce is a must as Leonardo da Vinci's last home. I was there in February for only 2 nights, so unfortunately, the Garage de l'Art was closed. However, I did meet Fernand Martin-Dumagny, the owner and artist, across the street at the brewery. Everyone was very kind and hospitable; I really wish I had more time to enjoy this lovely town!

If you want to be surrounded by Americans when you are in a foreign country then Amboise is the place for you. On the positive side, my traveling companion became ill while we were in Amboise, and I felt perfectly comfortable going out in the evening by myself. In a larger city, that might not have been th case. Similarly, it was easy to get in and out of Amboise to see many other sites in the Loire Valley

If you are considering a trip to the Loire Valley, we recommend Amboise as the hub. Why? It's a charming village right on the Loire River with it's own chateau right in the town. Much smaller than Tours, close to the rail line, affordable and attractive hotels and B&Bs, and close to premier chateaux such as Chenonceau and Chambord. Lots of restaurants and cute shops.

Beautiful buildings and numerous sites to explore and lots of restaurant choices all within walking distance of the B&B. We even found a wonderful little brew pub ("Art is an Ale") with locals enjoying the beers.

So much to see and not enough time to see it all!
So much to see and not enough time to see it all! Lots of restaurants, cafes, and a wonderful shopping area. The castle, museums and Leonardo da Vinci house etc is very interesting. Being by the river, the views are lovely too. It is very easy to get around on foot. Some streets are cobbled so might not be too suitable for wheelchairs.
Great location in the center of Amboise. Big and comfortable room, good wifi and safe. Very nice hotel, with lots of green space.
Disliked · Efficient staff, but advised Chenanceau and Chambord castles were open. Chenanceau was open, but Chambord closed for renovations. Travel and lost day. Large bathroom but there is no shower door and it is difficult to take a shower without wetting the floor. Good hotel, but they could provide correct information about the main attractions in the area.
It was easy to get to the hotel as it is just on the outskirts of the centre. It was very clean and the room had everything we needed. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good. For us it was important that we could get in and out easily as it was a 'pit stop' on our journey to and from the Dordogne. As it is I wish we had more time as Amboise is a beautiful city which we didn't give justice to.
Our hosts were so kind and thoughtful. The cosy property was renovated to a high degree with a super comfortable bed and soft, fluffy towels in the lovely modern bathroom, Amboise was just a short drive away, and had convenient access to the roads leading to most of the chateaux. Our tasty breakfasts
Included eggs, homemade jams and yoghurt. Our stay felt very special.
My husband loved the space after being in small hotels. He liked cooking and the size. I liked that it was close to sights and shopping in Amboise and walkable to train station. The lady who ran it came over in the rain to meet us. She arranged for a taxi for us since we don’t drive so we could visit some castles. The town and sights are just beautiful!
Excellent location in the wonderful town of Amboise. We were always able to find free parking a short distance away. Nice kitchenette with everything needed for a nice, comfotable stay. Hostess was very helpful in suggesting activities and wineries to visit in the area. Enjoyed excellent restaurants a short walk from the apartment.
The hotel was overall very nice !
It is located very close by the city center of Amboise, which is very to access by car or walking (15-20 min walk).
The staff was very nice too, and very helpfull.
The facilities are really amazing with a very nice pool and garden outside, and a big safe parking in front of the hotel.
Typically and perfectly French. Excellent location and everything I like about France, the setting in a private courtyard and beautiful gardens. The apartment was clean and well equiped and the host, although only spoken to by phone, was warm freindly and very helpful. I would definetly use this property again.
very cosy, extremely friendly hosts, reasonable breakfast, perfectly located to the city center of Amboise (but still quiet) and for discovering the famous châteaus in the area such as Chenonceau (15min) and Chambord (50min). Best hotel on our 5 week tour through France
This fully appointed two-story apartment is centrally located in Amboise. The kitchen has all the equipment to cool meals, if desired. The beds are very comfortable and there are two bathrooms, plus a washer/dryer. We visited two chateau’s and two wine tasing caves.
Small B&B in the heart of Amboise, within walking distance of everything, especially the Chateau, Loire river and restaurants. Lovely breakfast and Alison was a great host as well as cook. Huge Sunday market on the river bank, you can even buy live chickens!!!
The house was beautiful and the decor was very stylish and well thought out. The area was beautiful also. The couple who own the property were welcoming, warm and made us feel at home. The breakfast was the best we’ve had during our road trip around France.
This place is magical. The chateau is lovely inside and out. We spent afternoons at the pool while with a view of the countryside and horses. And Laurent who watches over every detail is warm, funny and truly the best. Our family didn't want to leave!
I like the location that is closed to Chateau d'Amboise. It's located near the busy area but relatively quiet street. I'm glad that I reserved a parking space with the hotel because street parking can be very challenging.
Lovely hotel near the Chateau d’Amboise and little town. Spacious, clean room with comfortable beds. Beautiful setting with castle views. Very nice restaurant for dinner and good breakfast.
The location was excellent, short walk to the main area of the old town and Chateau de' Amboise. Hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful. Highly recommend.
