After a long day walking alone, the host welcomed me at the gate with a hug…i immediately felt home.
The view was fantastic.
The room, as the house in general is newly renovated and fresh.
In the daytime i received an sms from the host notifying about the dinner situation. As there are no places to eat in the neibourhood. I valued it a lot!
Host provided tasty and simple breakfast.
Also saw in the kitchen a pasta and a red sauce ( back up plan for the dinner) for very hungry travels. Those detailes are very important.

Nice old world type of resort very Spanish and authentic Spanish fishing village / small town with a nice harbour and old town area. On the Camino trail so lots of walking routes plus Mt Tecla to view the area from the top.

An unexpectedly attractive town with beautiful harbour and nearby mountain. Lanes often steep and narrow so car driving tricky but possible. Plenty of restaurants and a bakery offering very good breakfasts. A walk up to the castle above the town was enjoyable.
Location was incredible - totally worth the 30 minute walk from the port to get there!
Rooms are not super upgraded but that adds to the charm.
Hotel staff was amazing and so super helpful! 5 stars for the over the top effort of both of the people working the front desk during my stay.
The whole place is reminiscent of family resorts from the 50s with a luxury dining area, lovely patio restaurant, and nice rooms with comfy beds, all right on the beach.
This gem is an absolute 10 !!!
It was a privilege staying there . At one side the mountain , at the other side the sea and in front a beautiful garden with a lovely pool!
But the ace in this hotel is Sofia , the lady who runs the place with kindness and effectiveness!
Thank you Sofia we will always remember your smile and your positive energy 🙏
It was a little bit out of the Camino, but it was worth it.
The host met us and left food and drink in the fridge for us. She was super helpful and checked in regularly during the stay with clear in structions. The place was pristine, comfortable, modern and in a fantastic location to explore A Guarda. There was a small gym downstairs too and bikes were available free of charge. The Wifi was also free and was very reliable.
The staff were amazing. They kindly stored our luggage for two days until we arrived.
Nothing was too much trouble as they ordered a taxi for us, which arrived on time as arranged. One of our party was continuing to walk the Camino and the lady at the hotel gave her directions to the route and made sure we watched my friend to see she was safely on her way.
The owner of casa a guarda didn't speak english very well, but that wasn't a problem. We exchanged a few mails and then i had the code for keysafe.
The casa is very beautiful and everything was very clean! The bed was very comfy and it was nice to take a really hot shower.
Breakfast was great. Served a bit of cake that was homemade, and drank cafe at the bar of the hotel. Everyone working there was super friendly. Love the location by the square, close to everything. Bathroom and beds were clean and comfortable.
This was our second year staying at the hotel and we loved it even more this time. The location is perfect, the staff lovely and the room super. we really enjoyed the breakfast too and drinks one evening at the bar. we’ll be back again
What a perfect place to spend a few days. Super little apartment fully equipped
Great garden with sun all day
Parking right at the door
And a great place to get around La Guarda
A really good spot for walking and cycling
It was along the Camino and its location was convenient. The hotel room has the old vibe charm and was pretty quiet. The bed was comfortable. The staff were very helpful and kind.
The bed was very comfortable and I could sleep all day in it. Also the location was amazing, just next to the port. Would love to stay another night in this hotel.
