Perfect location for Jerez horse fair. Just across the street. Cost was high during horse fair but to be expected. Day after horse fair we unexpectedly had to stay an extra night. They were very accommodating and price dropped way down. Included breakfast was one of the best hotel breakfasts ever. Pool and spa were lovely.

There's no shortage of horse statues all over town and a park houses the Royal Andalusian School of Equestrian Art, a dressage riding school with public performances. If you like sherry thee are many producers you can visit. The horses can also be visited. There is a train and bus service to other cities like Seville. The tourist information staff are very informative and helpful.

Jerez is totally walkable to see all the main sites ; can all be done in 1 day if time is tight, in my opinion.
Plenty of laid back restaurants and bars ; it has character and a nice vibe to it - definitely worth a visit - and close to Cadiz which is also definitely a city to visit.

I really enjoyed seeing the Spanish Riding School and chose the week we went because of the Feria of the Horse. The sherry tour we did was good but we stood throughout the whole time which was tiring. We found great places to eat and generally liked the vibe of the place. We generally walked around Jerez but occasionally took a cab.

A very quick weekend away. Jerez has lots of gems to offer.
A very quick weekend away. Jerez has lots of gems to offer. Recommend going to the Real Academia for the museums about horses and everything around it, as well as the horse shows themselves. Several interesting churches as well as the Alcazar to visit. Filled with great places to eat and fantastic choice of flamenco bars (we particularly liked Flamenkana, flamenco african mix)! Great for a long weekend, and to keep coming back to explore. We were there for the Sherry Half Marathon which was also great fun, the townspeople were really welcoming and supportive. Gets crazy busy (and expensive) at the Feria del Caballo and Moto GP dates, so be aware of this when booking. Most things in town centre accessible on foot, but usually street parking or faciliites available when need to use the car. Has shopping centres, IKEA and a go kart track just outside the town! Don't think twice, go and visit!

Jerez de la Frontera ("Jerez" here after) is a GEM!
Jerez de la Frontera ("Jerez" here after) is a GEM! Go there if you can.
It is the biggest town in the Jerez (strong wine) triangle. This is the birthplace for the famous wine some people call Sherry. I prefer to call it Jerez because the "Sherry" is connected to something I would call a colonialistic robbery when Francis Drake stole 3 000 barrels in Cádiz 1587.
So when you want to discover this exciting wine please ask for a "Fino", a "Manzanilla", an "Amontillado", an "Oloroso" or some of a few other types of this strong wine. Avoid of course Sandeman's or Harvey's. Those products are just not the same. Go local instead, it is excellent!
Jerez is also the main city and the birthplace for Flamenco. In fact the whole city IS Flamenco. Wait until late evening and get into one of the many Tabancos. You will find many of them in the historic city center.
You will experience Flamenco in organized shows and/or as more spontaneous performances. Then change place to another Tabanco and another and the later the night becomes you will hear more and more of the typical "clap clap" and see the dancing throughout the city.
Spend a week in Jerez, spend two, spend four. Nothing will be more Spanish and Andalusian than this.
Advise: If you can you should avoid the summer months. The summer here can be very hot and it is also overcrowded. In wintertime the temperature rarely sinks below 10 degrees at night and the days are very often nice and bright.

We were able to park the car right near the back door. This was a luxury compared to our experiences in Cordoba, Cadiz and especially Seville where, through no fault on the hotels' part, their central locations in compact, pedestrian-friendly cities meant that parking was distant from the hotels themselves. Lovely old building, well-maintained, clean and comfortable, a short hike to the city centre along some lively streets with some good shopping and a very good breakfast. Great value for money.
The hosts were exceptionally kind and helpful. The apartment was fully equipped with dishwasher and washing machine and fully stocked pantry with condiments. The hosts were very thoughtful in leaving milk and bottled water in the fridge. They pointed out their favorite tapas restaurants and markets and there were guidebooks and maps left in the apartment. This was by far the best accommodation we experienced during our three week travels through southern Spain.
it was very comfortable, had all the amenities and the owner left finishing touches that we enjoyed such as beer and chips and some personal care kits in the washroom. plenty of blankets and towels and heat which we appreciated because it was cold weather. it was close to all the sights and it was on a quiet street. incredible value for money. best place we rented in the 5 weeks we spent in Spain
Easy to drive to with parking under the Hotel. Easy walk from the Hotel right into the heart of Jerez and all the bars, shops and restaurants. Large bedroom, good shower, balcony doors overlooking the street below. All clean and well managed. In 20 mins we walked to the Royal Andalucian Horse School, a fantastic location and worth a visit.
The apartment was in the perfect location (right in the center) the host was amazingly helpful (always online to help with any questions or queries I had.
10/10 for me!!
We loved Jerez!! Quite, relaxing, not full of “Foreigners” like most places in Spain (still more raw than other places)
A great getaway for a long weekend
For us everything was great, Location , best tapas bar so far in Spain less than 10 minutes walk. Parking opitons made everything so easy. Place as been well loved and felt like a home rather than a clinical rental. Internal court yard so well kept and some beautiful planting. So quiet also anytime.
The hotel itself was incredibly stylish, well appointed and in a great location to explore Jerez. The rooms were spotlessly clean, amazing shower and the most comfortable bed. Best of all was the service received and help with bookings and restaurant recommendations.
The comfort of the entire unit, especially the private terrace. Also, the proximity of all the places I was interested in visiting.
The hotel staff was very kind and helpful with all my questions. The wine tour was very informative and fun, and the food was great.
This was the best place we stayed in whikst in a 3 week tour of southern Spain-the host Ana was amazingly helpful and suggested many local places to visit-we could have lived forever in the apartment just outside city walls-so well equipped and modern
We loved its location, out in the country, not too far from Jerez de la Frontera. The house was nicely decorated , comfortable, the room perfectly, great bed linens. It’s a nice property, sitting areas outside, and a pool. Very nice people.
We always stay in our favourite hotel in Spain when we visit Jerez. Paco always make us feel like royalty. Such a great location. 15 minutes walk for the old city centre which is perfect after and great evening in the plazas of Jerez.
Excellent accommodations in a centrally located part of one of Spains nicest cities. People often just do day trips out of Sevilla but drink some Jerez and enjoy this place...catch a flamenco show as well
The hotel is beautiful with high standards observed throughout the facility. Breakfast facilities and choice was also to an excellent standard great selection to choose from.
