The view is amazing. We stayed at the last floor and had a sea view.
The location is quite nice. It is not in the city center, but it is about 5-10 min walking. It is right near where the trail towards the Wall of Tears starts.
The room was big, with 4 beds event if we booked for two persons. The AC is great.
The staff was very polite. They called us a taxi and kept our luggages after we left the room in the last day.

Loved my stay here and I even extended it! The hostal is clean, comfy and is in a perfect location. It's lovely to be able to use the hammocks in the beach bar as well. Kitchen was nice and drinking water available and snorkels available to borrow for free. Definitely recommend.

Everything was amazing. The location, just in front of the sea and the facilities were great. And the staff, all were nice and always available and helpful. In our case, they all gave us tips on things to do in the island. Defenitely recommended.

Hotel is located in the second row of the beach. There is party at the beach (Pink Iguana Bar) on Fridays and Saturdays. I heard guests with rooms facing the beach complaining about noise during weekend nights. My room was facing the back country. With my windows closed I did not hear anything during weekend nights.

Fly to Seymour Airport, Baltra Island, Ecuador, then take a ferry to Santa Cruz Island and a bus to Puerto Ayora. From there, a 2-hour ferry ride reaches Puerto Villamil. For domestic travellers, direct flights to Baltra from Quito or Guayaquil are available.
The most convenient airport for both domestic and international travellers is Seymour Airport, Baltra. It's the closest to Puerto Villamil, approximately 100km away, and offers frequent connections to mainland Ecuador.
Puerto Villamil, Ecuador, is a small town best navigated on foot or by bike, available for hire locally. Taxis are also an option for longer distances. There's no public transport system. Always remember to negotiate taxi fares before your journey. For exploring further afield, water taxis provide access to nearby islands.
The best area to stay in Puerto Villamil, Ecuador, is the town centre. It's popular due to its proximity to the beach, restaurants, and shops. It's also convenient for visiting the Tortoise Breeding Centre and the Wetlands.

We enjoyed Isabel Island the most of the three Islands we stayed at. Fantastic wildlife. The sunrises and sunsets, long beach walks, Los Tunnels Tour, bike rental, trails, tortoise natural reserve, plenty of shops for fresh fish and produce, plenty of restaurants with delicious food, panaderias with baked goods and early morning coffee. Awesome locals that were very friendly and helpful. Exceeded all our expectations.

We enjoyed traveling beyond Santa Cruz Island for a few nights, just to experience the "vibe" of a different island. The town of Puerto Villamil is relaxed, very friendly and a charming beach town. Most of the area is walkable, though taxis were very cheap (less than $5).

Isabela is a backpacker's destination with very poor...
Isabela is a backpacker's destination with very poor infrastructure and low level restaurants. And it's extremely expensive for a European, especially if you come from a non Euro-country given the appreciation of the USD. We struggled to find a decent restaurant and it turned out that the Mexican was the best (full every night). To give you an example of cost, a main course was between USD19-30 which in eg Spain would have been aprox USD8. Price/quality ratio is among the worst we've experienced.
Ecuador, especially the islands, is a cash only-no receipt-economy with the purpose of squeezing the last dollar out of the tourists. We left with few intentions of returning which is a shame given the amazing animals and nature. People are mostly very friendly and helpful which was a nice.

The laid-back beach town vibes here are so much different...
The laid-back beach town vibes here are so much different than Puerto Ayora and Puerto Baquerizo Moreno on the other islands. We loved the relaxing atmosphere and I wish we'd planned this stop toward the end of the trip instead of right at the beginning. Make sure you do a trip to Los Tuneles while you're there - the scenery is fantastic and it was the best snorkeling we had on our week in the islands.

Puerto Villamil is small but welcoming and very beautiful...
Puerto Villamil is small but welcoming and very beautiful with great opportunities for snorkeling, walking, biking, swimming, kayaking etc. Most restaurants seem to serve "pizza" for tourists, but it's possible to avoid that for more traditional and delicious fare. The local beer is good, the people are friendly and it's well worth the effort to visit. The wildlife is spread around the island, but you can experience an incredible variety in the near vicinity - flamingos, penguins, sea lions, manta rays, sea horses, turtles, tortoises, iguanas, lava lizards, blue-footed/nazca boobies and other incredible sea birds, sharks and colourful fishes, I can't wait to go back :)

Nice place, really relaxing.
Nice place, really relaxing. Not too many good options to go out for dinner and the nice restaurants are quite expensive. But this is the rule in Galapagos.
If you don't have much money, I would not recommend to stay many nights here, because the day trips are hugely expensive and there is not many free options otherwise staying in the central beach.

The hosts of the hotel were absolutely wonderful. I was walking around on crutches due to an incident and they could not have made my trip more comfortable. From carrying my (heavy) bag to arranging tours and even asking the ferry staff back to Santa Cruz to take special care of me on which they did. The breakfast in made with love, the Galapagos coffee is phenomenal. Rooms are clean and comfortable (I had hot water every day). If I return I would go straight back to this place. Wifi is fine too.
Cute room with a sweet little balcony overlooking part of Puerto Villamil. The room had AC which was nice as it can get pretty warm and muggy on the island. Shower was nice and hot! The staff was super friendly and ready to help with anything! Perfect location as well, only 10 min walk to the port and around the corner from a super yummy restaurant called Gracias Madre. Also central to other restaurants and tour guide spots; bike rentals nearby.
Best shower I had in the Galapagos. Breakfast was good. The staff was all really friendly and helpful, especially Diana who explained everything to me when I first arrived.
They are on the road from the pier just as you reach the main part of town. I liked this location but others might prefer something right on the beach further into town. However it was very convenient for getting to and from the pier for tours, ferries, etc.
The isabela beach house is probably one of the best places in the island.. all the rooms are really accurate to the pictures, they are super clean and the staff is so friendly and helpful. The owner helped us with info about tours places to eat etc etc.
In front of the hotel is a small beach between rocks perfect to practice a little snorkel or swim.
I'm definilty coming back if I have the chance
We actually stayed in the hotel next door because there was no more space in this one (the ac was broken or something like that, we don’t really trust what the owner says). The kitchen was ok. Would be nice to have more forks and knives and plates because it is definitely not enough for few people cooking at the same time.
Clean and comfortable rooms with hot water.
The hotel staff were incredible and very helpful. They helped me plan my activities and organize tours for me, contacting the owners of the tour agencies themselves. My room was very pleasant, had great views of the beach, had great airflow, and was in a perfectly central part of town. The breakfast at the cafe downstairs was tasty and affordable for guests.
Amazing location , hotel , treatment and breakfast. Everything was perfect , and Ramón along with his wife are excellent and welcoming people.
We had a great time , and we recommend the tour “Los Tuneles” , worth every cent. Also the kayaking was 100% worth it.
When we come back to Isabella island, we will not think twice of where to stay.
Gracias!
we got to the hotel and they didn’t have room for us (we had reserved months in advance). they did however move us to a « sister Hostal » across the street. Hostal Sandrita- the rooms were incredibly clean and the staff « Marci » was absolutely amazing! she took the time to tell us about the island, where to go and was always available for questions.
Fantastic hosts Carlos and Anne , made us feel welcome every step of the way! Very friendly and helpful with providing local information and where to book different activities. Wonderful location by the sea and very comfortable accomodation. Highly recommend this hotel to others looking to stay on Isabela, a definite gem of the island.
It was the best hotel in my trip to Galápagos, my room was clean with hot water and in front of the beach. Slept with the waves sounds was the best and from hotel I saw a beautiful sunset, also Abel the owner helped me a lot with booking all my tours, he is so kind. The breakfast was really delicious and good price.
The locaition is beutiful!! On the beach with only the sound of waves. (Sea view room). Loved the brekfest on the terras. As a family we took 2 rooms.
The rooms are cleen and nice decorated.
The staff was very nice and helpfull.
The best stay for us at the galapagos
Big clean rooms in Isla Isabela. close to the playa Concha de perla. Hosts are amazing, if you want to feel Galapagos vibes definitely stay at this place. Great facilities, outdoor hammocks, coconuts from the hose, his music, stories about Galapagos priceless.
I enjoyed my stay here. Room with ocean view. Quiet, just the sound of the waves. Room is clean and bed is comfortable. Shower with hot water. They have a water bottle refill station. Hotel is right in front of the beach. I would come back.
The hotel is right across from a beautiful beach. It's a lovely little Inn, small but cozy. The staff are very helpful. It's near a wetlands walk with usually a few lovely flamingos. Loved the view from the rooftop deck
Hotel is located just opposite the beautiful beach.
The attention from the staff was great!
Very nice rooms with attention to the details.
Breakfast was good, pool was an added bonus.
Cormorant Beach house is amazing. It is very quiet and clean, and the staff is friendly and helpful. We booked all our tours through the hotel and really enjoyed them.
Fantastic affordable hotel close to the beach and town. AC, decent wifi, hot shower, free laundry, friendly proprietors, an adorable cat - what more can you ask for?
