Osterwiek is peaceful and beautiful medieval village: Beautiful old houses and wonderful nature and hiking trails. The hotel was historic on the outside but modern on the inside, beautiful rooms and wonderful peace to sleep. The bed was a little too hard for my taste, but the sheets were luxurious and soft. The breakfast was tasty and the staff was very friendly.

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room is clean and spacious, equipped with everything you need. Breakfast is good. I was especially pleased with the surprise that the hotel staff arranged for my birthday - for breakfast our table was festively decorated and my wife and I received a glass of dry sparkling wine. Very good short trekking route with a beautiful observation tower in the end.

The staff were all very helpful and friendly. Most spoke good English which helped us poor German speakers. Our room was spotlessly clean and full of character. It had a great view of the castle and a lovely balcony. Breakfast was really good quality, it was served to the table in a classically decorated dining room. i.e. not a buffet. The hotel is only a short walk into town an ideal location for walking in the countryside. Overall an exceptional hotel in our view.
