An amazing island - loads of great restaurants, stylish bars, very open and welcoming people, great beaches and a good dose of breeze and rain :-) The Friedrich and the Surfcafe turned out to be our favorite places.

I rented a bicycle for 6 euros and rode to the furthest...
I rented a bicycle for 6 euros and rode to the furthest beach, which was practically deserted. The natural landscape is just like the island of Terschelling, where I am now and where my father came from. (I went to Norderney to see the similarities and differences.) Rent a bike!
Also, I went to the so-called Baden Museum twice. It is more than just a museum about people who come to bath (swim). It is a historical museum and well worth a visit if you have any interest whatsoever in historical matters, including the history of gender roles and relationships (It turns out there were once separate beaches for men and for women.)

Excellent place to relax.
Excellent place to relax. Very clean, safe and healthy environment. Lots of good entries although a little expensive. Supermarkets had all we needed to cook some home meals.
Bicycles on hire to move around very easily. The beach was an excellent location to unwind- great for kids too. Children’s playground at beach well equipped too
The staff is very, very friendly and helpful.
The location is as well very good. Everything is nearby, shops, restaurants and the beach is easy to reach, 10 mins walk. The hotel is in the center and easy to reach. 5 min from the Bus station. All bus lines are reachable here. My room had a view to the backyard and it was very quiet because of that, which I appreciated.
The room was very comfortable and nice to live. If I will ever go to Norderney, I would definitely stay here again. It felt like we were welcome there. Many little gifts on the way, kindness of the personal.
We didn't make it to the last ferry, and this problem was solved via phone in 1 minute. Really appreciate!
