My family and I were traveling around West Europe. We wish we would stay more days at this particular apartment. It was so clean and cozy. Usually, landlords make everything cheap and unlivable. This place was inviting, and charming with so many small details and beautiful interior design. The apartment has roof windows, a dishwasher, a spacous bathroom, a lot of flowers and decorations, a beautiful balcony with candles and lights, pillows, swings... I could sit on that balcony day and night.
Parking is free on the side of the street.
There is a huge forest nearby, a public, open-air swimming pool for 4 eur per person. A medieval, adorable old town is nearby.
We had a fantastic, traditional German dinner at Odenwälder Gut Stubb right on the corner of the apartment.

Michelstadt old town centre is a picture postcard perfect Fachwerk town in the heart of the Odenwald, wonderful for wandering its narrow cobbles streets and enjoying its Konditoreien and pubs, all of which serve good food. Our favourites are Sieferts and the Stadtbrauerei. The town is busy at weekends when the prices are higher. Visit the local sights, Einhardbasilika, Schloss Erbach, Schloss Furstenau. Further afield but still in the Odenwald there are many other pretty towns to visit and beautiful scenery to enjoy. Don't leave without tasting Ebbelwoi and Kochkaese
The hotel is located in the middle of the old town, it is quiet with very little traffic. The breakfast very nicely served, even the hard boiled egg had a smiling face drawn on it it which made me feel really happy to start the new day. The personnel was also very nice and helpful. I was happy to be able to park my bike safely in a separate building.
I arrived at the hotel very late, and also left early. I informed the hosts in advance, and they prepared in a creative and excellent way for our arrival. The dialogue with them was very comfortable and helpful. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the overall experience was good.

The hotel is in the very heart of the town, and everywhere you want to see is a short stroll away. It has a lot of old world charm but the things that ought to be modern are. The restaurant produces excellent food for dinner, and breakfast is all one needs.
We had a nice big room with a big bathroom and a sofa bed for our daughter. We were able to park our bikes overnight in the hotel conference room. The breakfast buffet was nice and the friendly staff provided gluten free rolls on request.
Michelstadt is an enchanting town and the 3 Hares a lovely traditional hotel with lots of quirky hare related decorations. Option 2 breakfast good value and very tasty,
