A great place for lovers of beer and breweries. The facility belongs to the Schmucker brewery complex, founded in 1780. Hotel guests can visit the brewery and taste the beers produced there. I know the place very well from its time as "Miche Hotel", staying there every few months. The place is very central with one side facing the Bundesstrasse (thus, a bit more noisy, like this time) and the other side facing the old city nucleus (very quiet). Everything is within 5-10 min of walking distance, 10 min to train station. Short stroll to the central market square with the beautiful old Fachwerk-buildings and good restaurants and bars. The breakfast buffet is totally awesome, very rich and diverse and always included in the overnight price...great bargain! totally worth it. Always love coming back here.
Fabulous hotel with its central location, best choice for breakfast I ever had, impeccable service in perfectly clean room and all of this operated completely under GREEN AGENDA PROGRAM I had a feeling that whatever I did , I was the first customer ever in brand new hotel . I RECOMMENED IT WHOLEHEARTEDLY TO EVERYONE !
Location, rooms, bathroom and breakfast were all superb. The owner lady is so very friendly and helpful. We felt very welcome and the whole place is beautifully renovated and modernised whilst keeping its traditional German style of a Gasthouse. Very tasteful mix of new and traditional!

The family suite was very comfortable, including the nice setup of additional beds. Staff was very friendly and welcoming.
The breakfast was a full set up of continental breakfast supported by hot bacon, scrambled eggs and boiled eggs. Coffee was served to the table. Breakfast started at 6 which was very good so I could be away early to collect the parts from my supplier.

Really cute tent-cabin, very comfortable. Good facilities -- I was especially happy to use the laundry machines.
The staff was very friendly and accommodated all our requests quickly ( e.g extra pillows, missing bathrobe). The breakfast and buffet dinner was versatile, fresh and delicious. The outdoor pool with the surrounding forests is a great place to relax. The playground is also excellent. Although the hotel and the rooms are old, the service and the location more than makes up for it and overall we were very satisfied.
We visited as a family with a small child and a baby. We were giver a large room with extra baby blanket (we didn't want a baby bed), which was very thoughtful. We enjoyed the pool area, the location is also superb - on a hill, surrounded by forest. The breakfast was superb, lots of vegan options too - same goes for the restaurant which even had it's own children's menu with at least 5 options I believe. All delicious. The staff was very good at seating arrangements, we got a table at a side of the restaurant where other families were sitting - we felt like our kids therefore did not disturb other quests traveling without kids, as they would sit at the opposite side of the restaurant. You can also overlook a playground from the terrace of the restaurant. Will definitely return
