Breakfast was one of the best I have had in Europe. I would rate the breakfast selection in my top three overall ever and that includes a couple hundred other lodging facilities. The restaurant had overall good food and not just for breakfast. The staff were all friendly.

Nearby: the ruins of the Oybin monastery (2.5 km) - I recommend visiting, there are also a lot of hiking and biking trails around the town, Obersdorfer lake (10 km) with a nice beach. Further afield (40 km), the town of Lobau with a 19th-century tower.
