the location was perfect! From the balcony it seemed a distance to walk to town but this was not the case. 5 minutes and we were in the heart of the town to look at the shops and have a fabulous meal! I have stayed in Mittenwald before and this was my sister and niece first time. WOW factor and spacious room, soooo clean and welcoming. We instantly had dibs on our rooms. Parking was convenient and covered parking. Fabulous view from our balcony and overlooked entire Mittenwald town homes covered with snow.

It is a very quiet village with 3 grocery stores and immediate access to a trail network. It was also very pet friendly. I dont think there was much for children not for a party scene. But idyllic if you want a quiet escape to nature.

Stunning location with fabulous views of the mountains. The breakfast was excellent and they even made an extra effort on my birthday ( which they must have picked up from our check in details!). It was a very pleasant 20 minute walk / 5 minute cycle into Krun and a 15 minute drive to Mittenwald or Garmisch making it an ideal base for exploring the area.
